I love [name_f]Alice[/name_f] but don’t think I’d use it since my (soon to be) sister (in law) is called [name_u]Allie[/name_u]. [name_f]Lissie[/name_f] would be sweet but it’s much too close to my name ([name_f]Lizzie[/name_f]). Are there other options for nicknames?
Maybe something with a similar soft-c sound towards the middle/end?
Beatrice
[name_f]Cecile[/name_f]/Cecily
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_f]Frances[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
Or something with a similar tailored, vintage vibe?
Adele
[name_u]Anne[/name_u]
[name_f]Belle[/name_f]
[name_u]Clare[/name_u]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f]
[name_f]Eve[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Nell[/name_f]
[name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Tess[/name_f]
Hmm, this might be a stretch but what about these nicknames:
Issy, like [name_f]Lissie[/name_f], but without the L
[name_u]Isa[/name_u]
[name_f]Lili[/name_f] / [name_f]Lily[/name_f] (Ireally love this, [name_f]Alice[/name_f] “[name_f]Lili[/name_f]” is so cute)
Lisya
[name_f]Aliya[/name_f]
[name_u]Lisa[/name_u]
[name_f]Lyssa[/name_f]
[name_f]Lally[/name_f] (Kind of like [name_f]Ally[/name_f], with an L in the front)
xx
I love all of these but I meant other nn options. I should have been more clear!
Lisa
[name_f]Lissa[/name_f]
[name_f]Cece[/name_f]
Lece
Or just don’t nickname her? [name_m]Plenty[/name_m] of people go by their full name and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] isn’t particularly cumbersome for everyday use.
I am so sorry! I just realized your title says Nicknames! That’s my bad!
Goodness, nicknames for [name_f]Alice[/name_f]… I mean, you could just use [name_f]Alice[/name_f] on its own. I don’t think it needs a nn. But if you do want one, I think @floatinthesky’s suggestion of [name_f]Cece[/name_f] is perfection!
I might be slightly biased in suggesting Lyss (or Liss or other spellings)
Essie
[name_f]Cece[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]
Alice “[name_m]Ace[/name_m]”
Cece maybe?
I know someone considering [name_f]Alice[/name_f] “[name_f]Alsie[/name_f]”!
