I think we have decided upon [name_f]Annette[/name_f] [name_m]Williams[/name_m] M________. [name_f]Annette[/name_f] is my husband’s grandmother’s name. [name_m]Williams[/name_m] is my beloved late grandmother’s maiden name. Our surname begins with M. I am liking [name_f]Annie[/name_f] for a nickname and am interested in any other nickname ideas and/or thoughts about this name! Our nicknames so far:

Or she might have another nn that has nothing to do with her actual name, just something you call her. That’s how a bunch of people get nicknames, from siblings and random occasions where they just stick.
I dont think the names are too similar at all. Perfectly distinct, and will cause no confusion over which child you are calling.

I don’t have any other ideas, but [name_f]Annette[/name_f] was my grandmother’s name too! I think that [name_f]Nettie[/name_f] was a nn is fine w/Neely (cute, by the way!). I wouldn’t do [name_f]Nettie[/name_f] & [name_u]Neely[/name_u] as full names, but [name_f]Annette[/name_f] & [name_u]Neely[/name_u] sound great. [name_f]Nettie[/name_f] is adorable. I do like [name_f]Annie[/name_f], but [name_f]Nettie[/name_f] is more interesting.

Annie would be my go to for a nickname. I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Annie[/name_f] though.
I like both [name_f]Nettie[/name_f] and [name_f]Etta[/name_f]. You might be able to get away with [name_f]Nellie[/name_f]? Maybe even Nene?
