ok we love the name archer for the new baby but HATE the nickname archie!!! Anyone know other nicknames?? Are there others?
Our other kids are
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_m]Levi[/name_m] [name_m]Nash[/name_m]
this baby is most likely [name_m]Archer[/name_m] [name_u]Gray[/name_u]
[name_m]Archer[/name_m] is a fine name that doesn’t need a nickname. It’s only two syllables, the same as four of your other children. So, no nickname needed [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
It’s fine for you to call him [name_m]Archer[/name_m] but the rest of the world will likely call him [name_m]Archie[/name_m] and there is not anything on earth to be done about that. Sure, you might be able to exert your will when he is little, but when he is a teen and adult, all bets are off as they should be.
We have an [name_m]Archer[/name_m] who is called just that. In my experience if you never refer to him as [name_m]Archie[/name_m] then no one else will either. They are quite different types of name and I think you’re either an [name_m]Archer[/name_m] or an [name_m]Archie[/name_m]. With regard to other nns we get lazy and call him [name_m]Arch[/name_m], which I quite like. He has a little buddy called [name_m]Art[/name_m] and they have become [name_m]Arch[/name_m] & [name_m]Art[/name_m]. We also have friends who called their [name_m]Archer[/name_m] ‘[name_u]Ari[/name_u]’. He has been [name_u]Ari[/name_u] since birth, brother to Oli, and it is just his name now. So that could be an option for you if you really want a nn?
I second [name_m]Arch[/name_m] as a handsome nn for [name_m]Archer[/name_m].
