I like [name_m]Hart[/name_m], [name_m]Art[/name_m] and [name_u]Ari[/name_u].
Definitely not wart. [name_m]Hart[/name_m] is a bit feminine for my liking. I don’t really like [name_m]Art[/name_m] as a nickname. [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] is only two syllables, it doesn’t need shortening. I might say Arthy if I wanted to use a cute nickname that shows endearment.
Wart is for the [name_m]King[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] connection : ) I didn’t think anybody would actually pick it but it’s close to my heart <3
Thanks for the replies so far. Keep 'em coming!
I think that The Wart is a lovely nickname for your baby at home, and when he’s old enough for grade school he can take it or leave it. I just read The Sword and the [name_m]Stone[/name_m] for the first time myself, and any kid would feel so lucky to grow up with a connection to adventurous young [name_m]Arthur[/name_m].
Wart is a great family nickname, also is [name_m]Bear[/name_m]. But I think [name_m]Archie[/name_m] fits better with an adult.
I also like [name_u]Teddy[/name_u].
I like [name_m]Artie[/name_m], [name_u]Ari[/name_u], or [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] in full. Some of these make no sense to me. If you want an [name_m]Archie[/name_m] name him [name_m]Archer[/name_m], if you want an [name_m]Arrow[/name_m] name him [name_m]Arrow[/name_m], etc. And I have no idea why anyone would call a child Wart.
[name_u]Ari[/name_u] & [name_m]Hart[/name_m] is my favorite! Never thought of [name_m]Hart[/name_m] as a nn for [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] but it definitely works.
