Hello We are thinking of adding the name [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] to our shortlist for soon-to-come daughter.
We love the sound and it’s measuring up against our other top names in all ways but one - it doesnt come with any obvious nickname options.
Does anyone know (or can create) some [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] nicknames? The only ones coming to mind for me are Tummy or [name_f]Tammie[/name_f], which…er… shows i need some help!
Does “[name_u]Audie[/name_u]” work? (like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] without an r)
Thanks in advance!
Nicknames for [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]:
(I’m taking some creative liberties here)
[name_f]Aura[/name_f]
[name_f]Molly[/name_f]
[name_f]Minnie[/name_f]
I would avoid [name_u]Audie[/name_u] because of its similarity to [name_f]Audi[/name_f] (the car).
personally i love this name. but i think she doesn’t necessarily have to have a nickname. she could always just go by ‘autumn’ its not that long of a name that requires a nickname. however, audie could work.
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is pretty nickname proof…
[name_u]Audie[/name_u] makes me think of [name_f]Addy[/name_f] though, so you could go that route?
I like [name_f]Minnie[/name_f], but it’s not very intuitive. I quite like [name_u]Audie[/name_u] as well, but not the car association.
[name_m]How[/name_m] do you feel about something less cute like [name_f]Uma[/name_f] or [name_f]Una[/name_f]?
You could also do Tutu
Or maybe you could use initials, AJ or [name_m]AD[/name_m] (you could spell it [name_f]Adie[/name_f] as well)? Not sure what middle you’re thinking…
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] called [name_m]AD[/name_m] or [name_f]Adie[/name_f] would be very sweet ^^
Auri? Maybe with an R middle? [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] perhaps?
I can’t think of any nicknames for [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] besides Autie, which is what we call the girl who is on my cheer team named [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]. It sounds similar to [name_u]Audie[/name_u], but there is a slightly different pronunciation because of the ‘T’. Autie does kind of remind me of Auntie though, so depending on how you feel about that association, this nn might not be the best.
