Nicknames for "Beulah"

My top female baby name is an unusual choice: Beulah. It’s a Hebrew name meaning “married” used in the Old Testament to refer to the land of Israel. Nameberry itself calls the users who choose this name “audacious”, but it’s after my late paternal grandmother who died in the 1970s. I wanted to honor her somehow, as my Cousin Linda (another favorite name of mine) says I look a lot like her. So now I’m wondering what potential nicknames are there for Beulah. So far, all I have is Beauty, because of the similar sound of “Beou” or “Byoo”. But calling a kid Beauty is going to be awkward unless I plan on selling them to a beast somewhere in France.

[name_f]Beulah[/name_f] is one of my favorite names! She’s a gorgeous pick. I love [name_f]Belle[/name_f] as her nickname! It’s the one I’ve got on my own list.

Why do you need one? [name_f]Beulah[/name_f] is just two syllables and simple to say. I like [name_f]Beulah[/name_f] and I would just call her [name_f]Beulah[/name_f]. You could have Beu, I suppose but I think it’s unnecessary.

[name_f]Ulla[/name_f] or [name_f]Ulli[/name_f] were my first thought and also [name_f]Bibi[/name_f] and [name_f]Eula[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilly[/name_f] maybe as a stretchy choice!

I really like [name_f]Lala[/name_f] and [name_f]Bebe[/name_f], but both are hard to see on an adult woman.

[name_f]Lally[/name_f] is also very cute, but might be hard to see on an adult.

I know, but I enjoy giving people endearing nicknames simply to show affection.

[name_f]Ulla[/name_f] and [name_f]Ulli[/name_f] are actually adorable!

[name_f]Belle[/name_f] would be nice, as I know several friends and cousins named the vastly more popular [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]. Plus, it’s “beauty” in [name_u]French[/name_u]. A stunning meaning and an amazing [name_f]Disney[/name_f] princess!

I use [name_u]Will[/name_u], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Lala[/name_f] and [name_f]Lally[/name_f] for my daughter, [name_f]Willa[/name_f]. I’m pretty sure only the first two will be picked up by her school friends (if not a completely different one, like [name_m]Bill[/name_m] :joy:), but maybe her significant other (as an adult) will use [name_f]Lala[/name_f] or [name_f]Lally[/name_f] or some other super cutesy name. Point us: she’ll likely have/use more than one nickname and they’ll evolve over time and be relationship/context specific. Wouldn’t worry about deciding on just one!
