I’ve recently found myself liking the name [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]. I’m a big nickname person when it comes to longer names (I like the idea of having the cutesy shorter name with the option of using the elegant full name), but I’m struggling to find anything I like for [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]. [name_f]Carrie[/name_f] and [name_f]Carol[/name_f] both seem dated to me. Any other suggestions?
Maybe something like [name_u]Caro[/name_u] or [name_f]Ro[/name_f] (prn. like Row) could work. If you’re willing to stretch a bit, someone like [name_f]Lina[/name_f] (line-uh) might be a possibility.
My name is [name_f]Carolina[/name_f] ([name_u]Caro[/name_u]-lee-na) and I used to go by [name_f]Carol[/name_f] or [name_f]Nina[/name_f].
Nicknames for [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]: [name_f]Carol[/name_f], [name_f]Carrie[/name_f], [name_u]Caro[/name_u], [name_f]Cara[/name_f], [name_u]Lee[/name_u], [name_f]Lina[/name_f] or [name_f]Nina[/name_f].
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is my #1 girl name and it has been for a few years now. I just love it. My personal favorite nickname for it is the simple Care. One I didn’t see mentioned here is [name_m]Arrow[/name_m] - which I think is pretty cool.
I love [name_f]Callie[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]! [name_m]Just[/name_m] [name_u]Cal[/name_u] is also an option. Maybe [name_f]Lena[/name_f]/[name_f]Lina[/name_f] or [name_f]Linnie[/name_f]. I’ve heard [name_f]Lollie[/name_f] as a nn for [name_f]Laura[/name_f] in the UK but it’d work for [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] as well, I think. Or [name_u]Ollie[/name_u]. My sister [name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] goes by [name_f]Carrie[/name_f] (with family) or just [name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] (with everyone else) but she’s (mostly against her will) been called [name_f]CeCe[/name_f], [name_f]Kiki[/name_f], [name_u]Kay[/name_u], Care-[name_m]Bear[/name_m]. I’ve also heard [name_f]Kate[/name_f]/ [name_f]Katie[/name_f] as a nn for [name_f]Caroline[/name_f].
