I love the name [name]Clementine[/name]. But not so much the nicknames [name]Clem[/name] or [name]Clemmy[/name]. Reminds me of clams, or clammy hands. I just thought of [name]Minty[/name], but that’s a stretch. Anybody got anything better?
I kind of love [name]Minty[/name]! I had a great-aunt [name]Minty[/name] I don’t think it’s a stretch at all. Apart from [name]Clem[/name]/[name]Clemmie[/name], the only other ones I can think of are Teeny/[name]Tina[/name], neither of which are all that appealing. [name]Mina[/name] might work but it’s definitely a stretch. I’d go with [name]Minty[/name]!
I was just thinking about this last night, and came up with [name]Clea[/name], [name]Em[/name], [name]Emme[/name], and I recall that [name]Lola[/name] once mentioned [name]Cleo[/name] as a possibility. I think [name]Clementine[/name] is great!
If you can’t tolerate the nickname [name]Clem[/name], I wouldn’t name her [name]Clementine[/name]. Her peers might use the nickname, whether you like it or not.
Btw, I think [name]Clementine[/name] is a great name!
Hmm, [name]Cleo[/name] is a nice idea! I’m a little embarrassed that I never thought of [name]Em[/name], but that is rather bland. [name]Tina[/name]/Teeny are unappealing, just dated I guess. I’m liking [name]Minty[/name] and [name]Cleo[/name].
Yeah I am not crazy about [name]Clem[/name] either… Or [name]Minty[/name] (sorry!)
I like [name]Cleo[/name] and [name]Tina[/name] as suggestions.
What about [name]Minnie[/name]?
[name]Minnie[/name] is cute, but I just think of the mouse (I live right by Disneyland).
[name]Love[/name] [name]Minty[/name]!
There’s also [name]Minnie[/name], [name]Mina[/name], [name]Cleo[/name], [name]Tina[/name], [name]Lennie[/name]
I know 3 Clementines - One goes by [name]Lennie[/name], one my [name]Clem[/name], and one by plain ol’ [name]Clementine[/name].
It’s only 3 syllables long, so you might have more luck getting people to call her by her full name, if that’s what you want
Wow, you know three Clementines? I’ve never met one! That’s encouraging that one of them goes by [name]Clementine[/name] in full, I think I would prefer that.
I love [name]Cleo[/name] as a nn for the lovely [name]Clementine[/name]. But I talked to a British mom several years ago who told me that [name]Clementine[/name] nn [name]Clemmie[/name] was all the rage among probably hipster or yuppie parents in [name]Britain[/name]. She seemed very cool - her husband was in the film industry and they were in L.A. for just a year or two. She also told me that [name]Rose[/name] nn [name]Rosie[/name] was really cool. Her daughter’s name was [name]Harriet[/name] nn [name]Harry[/name].
