[name_m]Hi[/name_m] all!!
I’ve been loving [name_f]Eilonwy[/name_f] lately - she’s so beautiful and mythological, and I love her meaning!!
However, I’ve been struggling with nns for her. The most obvious to me is [name_f]Wynnie[/name_f], which I sadly don’t love
So I’d love to hear any nickname ideas for [name_f]Eilonwy[/name_f], feel free to make them as stretchy or out-there as you’d like!!
Looking forward to reading your responses

[name_f]Eilonwy[/name_f] is so pretty! [name_f]My[/name_f] first thought for a nickname was [name_f]Eila[/name_f] (prn like Isla) or Eily (prn eye-lee), or maybe [name_m]Lonny[/name_m]?

I think any el- nickname would work, especially with the middle name. For example [name_f]Eilonwy[/name_f] “Ellie”, [name_f]Eilonwy[/name_f] [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] “Elsie”, [name_f]Eilonwy[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] “Elfie”, [name_f]Eilonwy[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] “Elvy”.
[name_f]Eila[/name_f], Eili, or [name_f]Lonnie[/name_f] are all sweet in very different ways. Less obvious, but [name_f]Leni[/name_f] is really cute and the sounds are all there.

[name_f]Nell[/name_f] & [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] are two I haven’t seen mentioned! [name_f]Loni[/name_f] could work too

[name_f]Eilonwy[/name_f] looks so willowy and elegant! [name_f]Isla[/name_f] was my first idea, then Lani/Lonnie. [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] or [name_f]Lynnie[/name_f] could also work, or [name_f]Leni[/name_f]? [name_m]Wiley[/name_m] also occurred to me but [name_f]Eilonwy[/name_f] and [name_m]Wiley[/name_m] have like the complete opposite appeal from each other lol. [name_f]Lila[/name_f] could work too I would think, or [name_f]Nona[/name_f], [name_f]Nani[/name_f], [name_f]Nyla[/name_f]?
Good luck!

@SarahMadelyn Ooh Eillie is a spelling I haven’t considered!! Thank you
If I get to use [name_f]Eilonwy[/name_f] as first name, my go to nickname would be Aylo or Aylie, but I agree it’s hard to find nicknames for it.
I pronounce it AY-lon-wee
[name_f]Eilonwy[/name_f] is gorgeous!
I’ve never even thought of [name_f]Eilonwy[/name_f] nn [name_f]Wynnie[/name_f], and I’m a huge [name_f]Wynnie[/name_f] fan. But I also love [name_f]Eilonwy[/name_f] nn [name_f]Ellie[/name_f].
Eilie, pronounced eye-lee makes sense to me. It’s also close to [name_f]Isla[/name_f], so sounds very name-y.
