Nicknames for Francesca

I am feeling I would not want a nickname for [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] if it could be avoided. But…recently I have moved it from a middle to a first name, and now mulling over the possibilities of [name_u]Fran[/name_u] or [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] which I dont like, to what I previously thought were better nns like Chesca or Cisca. Chesca now sounds quite a mouthful, perhaps as much as [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] itself.
I woul appreciate any other ideas you have.

[name_f]Francie[/name_f], [name_f]Franca[/name_f] or [name_f]CeCe[/name_f] maybe? [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] is my personal favourite.

Oh, and perhaps [name_f]Effie[/name_f] could work?

I love [name_f]Francesca[/name_f]!! Other than [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] I really like [name_f]Chessie[/name_f] and Chessa for nicknames.

Maybe just [name_m]Chess[/name_m] on its own? [name_u]Frannie[/name_u], [name_m]Frank[/name_m], and [name_f]France[/name_f] would work too. [name_f]Fancy[/name_f] could be cute when she’s little :slight_smile:

Thanks for your replies. Chessa seems less troulble than Chesca. I quite like [name_f]Franca[/name_f] too. [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] is sweet. There are 2 little ones in our area who are [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] full name. Its all speculation if a nickname just sticks I will have no say but having options ready feels good. Many thanks.

Kika is one of the nicknames for [name_f]Francisca[/name_f] here in Spain, (the spanish version of [name_f]Francesca[/name_f]). It’s pronounce Key-Kuh.

The traditional nickname for [name_f]Francisca[/name_f] here in [name_u]Brazil[/name_u] is [name_f]Chica[/name_f] (SHEE-kah). Though, now that I’m thinking about it [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] nn [name_f]Faye[/name_f] is quite cute too.

I love, love, love [name_u]Frankie[/name_u]! [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] is so lovely and one of my favorites; it has so many nickname options and so many of them ([name_u]Fran[/name_u], [name_u]Frankie[/name_u], [name_f]Chessie[/name_f]) have this awesome retro-punk spunk to them!!
