I’ve come to love the name [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] so much, but obviously the name is quite long and a bit of a mouthful, so I’m wondering at the nickname possibilities.
So far, I have:
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f]/[name_u]Georgie[/name_u]/[name_m]George[/name_m] (not too keen, but all are cute nevertheless).
[name_f]Gigi[/name_f]
[name_f]Ginny[/name_f]
[name_f]Gia[/name_f]
[name_f]Gina[/name_f]
[name_f]Nia[/name_f]
[name_f]Nina[/name_f]
[name_f]Ana[/name_f]
[name_f]Anya[/name_f] (I love this, but do you think this is a bit of a stretch?)
Of the above, what do you like best? And can you think of any more?
I had the cutest [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_u]Austen[/name_u] professor named [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] and she went by [name_m]George[/name_m]. I like that nickname myself but also [name_u]Georgie[/name_u]. Also, G.G. instead of [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] (hard G’s instead of the soft french G’s)
I like [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] the most, though [name_m]George[/name_m], [name_u]Georgie[/name_u], [name_f]Ginny[/name_f] and [name_f]Gia[/name_f] also seem fairly intuitive to me as nicknames for [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f].
I would never guess that a woman named [name_f]Nina[/name_f] or [name_f]Anya[/name_f] would have [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] as a her full name. Where I live they’re more often used as full names than nicknames.
From yours, I love [name_f]Ginny[/name_f] for [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f]! I never would have thought of that but it’s just adorable. I love [name_f]Ginny[/name_f]! My favorite nn for [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] is [name_f]Annie[/name_f], though, followed probably by [name_f]Ginny[/name_f] now, but then [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] and [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] (which are pretty much tied). I’m not a huge [name_f]Gia[/name_f] or [name_f]Nina[/name_f] fan, personally.
[name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] is one of my top names, and my favourite nicknames from your list are [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] and [name_f]Ginny[/name_f]. Other nn possibilities I love are [name_f]Annie[/name_f], [name_f]Ora[/name_f]/[name_f]Aura[/name_f], and [name_f]Jana[/name_f]; the last last 2/3 syllables sound like [name_f]Jana[/name_f] (Yah-nuh) when I say it.
[name_m]George[/name_m]/[name_u]Georgie[/name_u]/ [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] are my favourites, I’m not keen on [name_f]Gia[/name_f] or [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] and [name_f]Nina[/name_f] and [name_f]Anya[/name_f] aren’t intuitive for me. I do love [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] it’s a gorgeous name.
I love [name_f]Jana[/name_f], though I think I’d use [name_f]Yana[/name_f] instead. Yara, I suppose, is an option.
I just came across [name_m]Gosha[/name_m], which is a Russian diminutive of Georgiy ([name_m]George[/name_m]). It reminds me of a Turkish girl I know called Gülşah (goo-sha).
[name_f]Peaches[/name_f]! It’s a bit of a stretch ([name_f]Peaches[/name_f] are found in [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] which is similar to [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f]) but I know people who have used it. I love all of the suggested nicknames too, but [name_f]Peaches[/name_f] is so sweet (no pun intended)
