[name]Helena[/name] prn. heh-[name]LAY[/name]-na is my favorite, especially with the nickname [name]Nell[/name]. I’d be more likely to use the HEH-li-na prn. if I was British (like [name]Helena[/name] Bonham [name]Carter[/name]).
Wow, I’ve never heard of the HEH-li-na prn. I’m really liking it. I’ve only heard it Hel-[name]LAY[/name]-nah or [name]Helen[/name]-ah. I honestly like all of it’s pronunciations, but I think this might be my favorite. Would [name]Nell[/name] still work as a nn with that prn.? I also like [name]Hallie[/name] and [name]Hattie[/name], and [name]Leni[/name], but I think [name]Leni[/name] would be out pronouncing it that way. I do like [name]LEE[/name]-na better than [name]LAY[/name]-na though. Hmmm, that’s a lot to think about!
