[name]Baby[/name] boy due in [name]July[/name] will be [name]Ignatius[/name] [name]Felix[/name]. I was just trying to think of possible nn’s? I think the obvious [name]Iggy[/name] is adorable but options are always nice! Big sisters are [name]Eloise[/name] ([name]Elle[/name]) and [name]Beatrix[/name] ([name]Bea[/name])
Is [name]Gus[/name] too much of a stretch? Any other less common suggestions? I’m not fond of [name]Nate[/name].
I don’t think [name]Gus[/name] is too much of a stretch. What about [name]Nat[/name]? Or maybe [name]Ace[/name] the sounds are there though it’s somewhat of a stretch
I think [name]Nate[/name] or [name]Ace[/name] would be great nicknames!
I second [name]Ace[/name] if you don’t care for [name]Nate[/name]! I used to carpool with a Spanish fellow names [name]Ignatius[/name]…his nickname was [name]Nacho[/name]. Probably not what you will pick, but I enjoyed remembering him as I typed, haha.
I do think [name]Gus[/name] is a bit of a stretch but still definitely usable! My other thought had been [name]Nat[/name]/[name]Nate[/name], but I think [name]Ace[/name] could work well, too.
Good luck!
I do love [name]Ace[/name]! And [name]Nat[/name] isn’t bad. I just don’t love [name]Nate[/name].
And lol at [name]Nacho[/name]! I doubt the little guy would appreciate that nn.
In [name]Italy[/name] it is often [name]Ezio[/name], from [name]Ignazio[/name]. I know a boy named [name]Ignacio[/name], from Madrid, but he was called [name]Ignacio[/name]. I know [name]Paco[/name] is traditional for [name]Francisco[/name], but couldn’t it work for [name]Ignacio[/name]? I love that nn.
I also know an [name]Ignacio[/name] who goes by [name]Nacho[/name]!
I have a pet snake named [name]Ignatius[/name] and sometimes call him Natius or “Nay-shus”…basically cut off the Ig part.
My neighbor is [name]Ignatius[/name]. He goes by [name]John[/name] mostly but sometimes [name]Iggy[/name]
