However a lot of people do call me [name]Izzy[/name], which I don’t mind but don’t love either. And since [name]Isabel[/name] is a form of [name]Elizabeth[/name], I’m sure some of the [name]Elizabeth[/name] nicknames can work too-- [name]Libby[/name], [name]Elsa[/name], [name]Lizzie[/name].
Haha irisrose, I love [name]Libby[/name] and prefer it to [name]Ibby[/name], and would definitely use it. But three out of my five best girlfriends names’ are [name]Lily[/name], [name]Lizzy[/name] ([name]Elizabeth[/name]), and [name]Livvy[/name] ([name]Olivia[/name]), so me being [name]Libby[/name] would just make things worse!
Thanks for your suggestions- Izza is actually pretty cute. I love the name [name]Bella[/name] but I feel like that would be forcing it since my name isn’t [name]Isabella[/name] and [name]Bella[/name] means beautiful, I’d feel a bit vain. Maybe in college.
Fun project! I’m blanking on anything else honestly, but you have plenty of good options! I don’t think [name]Bella[/name] is too much a stretch at all, I mean, [name]Polly[/name] is a nickname for [name]Mary[/name] through historical play with the name, same thing with [name]Peggy[/name] for [name]Margaret[/name], so [name]Bella[/name] from [name]Isabel[/name] is really nothing. Like, say you start going by [name]Bel[/name] for a while…some people are just going to want to say [name]Bella[/name] : D, maybe from Twilight! I guess you can get B/[name]Bea[/name]/[name]Bee[/name] from [name]Bel[/name], but I’m not sure that’s a positive thing in a high school environment, although it is cute! : D. I love [name]Ibby[/name]. I think it’s super-fresh but also very vintage. And, yea, it leads to sassy [name]Bee[/name]! Perfect, right? Another option would be [name]Issy[/name]. Like Lissy without the L, you know? It’s a little softer, but not quite so spunky as [name]Ibby[/name].
