Nicknames for Lucinda?

Only just over three weeks to go now, and the hunt for a baby girl’s name is getting more serious.

For those who haven’t caught previous posts, our two little girls are named [name]Grace[/name] [name]Louise[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Anne[/name]. We’re looking for a name for our third daughter.

[name]Lucinda[/name] [name]Mae[/name] is high on the list at the moment, but I have to say I’m not keen on nn [name]Cindy[/name]. What do you think of [name]Lucinda[/name], and what nicknames could we use? Obviously [name]Lucy[/name], but anything a little different?

My sister is going to use [name]Lucinda[/name], and she wants to use [name]Cinda[/name] as a nickname. Not [name]Lucy[/name], I’ve been told, and NEVER [name]Cindy[/name].

I think [name]Lulu[/name] is cute too.

[name]Lucinda[/name] is on our top five list for girls too! If we use [name]Lucinda[/name], we plan to use the nickname “[name]Indie[/name]”.

[name]Indie[/name] is different too, irishmom, but my husband will like it because [name]India[/name] was one of the names he liked!

[name]India[/name] is an great nickname, also [name]Indie[/name]. Yeah, [name]Cinda[/name] is a cool nickname too, and I really like the idea of using [name]Lucinda[/name], I think that name is fantastic and strong. So I think that when she is about two, you can work out if she really NEEDS a nick name, because my sister, [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Rose[/name], doesn’t want a nick name at all, she just wants plain [name]Charlotte[/name]. That might be the same, you never know.

lorijohnson, I agree with the timeless names you mentioned, but unfortunately our dog is named [name]Rosie[/name] and my sister in law is [name]Emma[/name]!
