I don’t like [name_u]Mal[/name_u], because all I think is that its “bad”. My go to was [name_m]Mac[/name_m], but my toddler when I talk to him about about it, says [name_u]Max[/name_u]. What do you think of [name_u]Max[/name_u] as a nn for [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m]?
[name_u]Max[/name_u] is definitely usable as a NN for [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m], without it being too much of a stretch.
However every [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] I know (all adults) shortens it to Malc.
Other suggestions:
[name_m]Al[/name_m]
[name_u]Cal[/name_u]
Com
[name_u]Mo[/name_u]
Thanks!! Anyone else?
[name_m]Mac[/name_m] is my go-to for [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] as well, but [name_u]Max[/name_u] isn’t too much of a stretch. I would never assume that [name_u]Max[/name_u]'s full name is [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m], but I wouldn’t think it weird.
I prefer Malc.
I think [name_u]Max[/name_u] would work fine. And your toddler will learn to call the baby [name_m]Mac[/name_m], if that’s the nickname you like.
I know a little dude called [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] whose nickname is Col which I think is nice as well.
The [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] I know uses his full name.
[name_m]Mac[/name_m] is a great nickname for [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m], and [name_u]Max[/name_u] isn’t really that different if it’s mostly said aloud.
