Loving the name [name]Patrick[/name], but [name]Rick[/name] + [name]Pat[/name] are awful for a little boy imo. I know [name]Paddy[/name]'s a nickname for [name]Patrick[/name], and I don’t mind that, but are there any others you can come up with?
My younger brother is [name]Patrick[/name], and when we were kids I came up with the nickname Patch for him. He loves it. My mom calls him [name]Paddy[/name] (we are Irish, after all!), and some of his friends call him [name]Pat[/name], but he says that Patch is his favorite nickname.
I too love [name]Patrick[/name], but hate [name]Pat[/name] and [name]Rick[/name]. I’ve heard Trick suggested before which is pretty cool, but have no idea how well that would work. I prefer [name]Patrick[/name] with no nicknames.
I like the other suggestion of Patch.
Patch and [name]Paddy[/name] are cute but I think I prefer [name]Patrick[/name] without any nicknames.
My cousin is [name]Patrick[/name] and we’re very close but when we were little we used to tease him and call him Patterina! hahah… obviously that’s not what you should call a son but I like the typical nn [name]Pat[/name] and Patch is cute. [name]Paddy[/name] is always in my mind for when we’re not really teasing him but kinda feminizing his name. Like “come on Paddddddy, it’s not that high just jump. don’t be a girl” kinda thing.
I think Patch is absolutely adorable!!! This nn makes me love [name]Patrick[/name]!! I love [name]Paddy[/name] too!
Trick is cute!
Maybe [name]Tray[/name] or [name]Trey[/name]?
I want a future son called [name]Patrick[/name] and his nn was always going to be Patch. Mainly after that character in the santa.[name]Claus[/name] movie lol
My husband and I are considering [name]Patrick[/name] if this baby is a boy and we like Trick as a nickname. We normally let our children’s nicknames develop naturally so it’s not set in stone or anything but I definitely don’t like [name]Pat[/name] as a nickname!
I have a cousin named [name]Patrick[/name] and he has always hated any nickname associated with it. He only lets family call him Patch. I remember when he was in middle school, a few of his friends called him P-[name]Trix[/name] but he outgrew that pretty fast. I think it would be best to let the nickname come organically over time.
My name is [name]Patrick[/name] and some good buddies call me Packie. It’s pretty good.
I love [name]Patrick[/name]! I love [name]Paddy[/name], but my favorite nn is probably [name]Pax[/name]. It’s a bit unexpected, but I still love it. If I ever had a [name]Patrick[/name], he’d probably be [name]Patrick[/name] a good majority of the time, with [name]Pax[/name] and [name]Paddy[/name] occasionally.
I love [name]Pax[/name] or Trick as a nickname for [name]Patrick[/name]
