Nicknames For Rhett

I managed to sell the name [name]Rhett[/name] [name]Maverick[/name] to my husband which I’m pretty excited about. I wasn’t really too sure about [name]Rhett[/name] at first, it just reminds me of a guy in his 40s, not quite vintage but not new either. But paired with [name]Maverick[/name] I think it is just really fresh and cute! But I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for nns for [name]Rhett[/name] [name]Maverick[/name] that lightens up the name [name]Rhett[/name] a little. Thanks!

I know this is a tough one

Uhhhh Rhetty?
I’m not sure what kind of nickname you’ll find in 1 syllable name that is basically an isolate.
I think a nickname you’d get from [name]Rhett[/name] would be organic- you’d just have to let it happen. My brother, [name]Brett[/name], has a nickname and it’s related to his name, but it isn’t anything you could have dreamed up before it actually happened.
Maybe there’s a way to combine [name]Rhett[/name] and [name]Maverick[/name]? [name]Rick[/name]? [name]Tav[/name]? What about [name]Everett[/name] [name]Maverick[/name] “[name]Rhett[/name]” instead?

I agree that it’s tough to come up with a nickname for a 1 syllable name. Maybe using a different middle you could have R.J. or something, but [name]Rhett[/name] just doesn’t lend itself to anything. I do really like [name]Rhett[/name] [name]Maverick[/name], though.

Rhetoric? Haha. Sorry, but [name]Rhett[/name] is such a short name I think if you want something lighter you should wait until you meet him & choose a nickname that’s more based on personality & appearance cause I can’t think of any variation of [name]Rhett[/name] [name]Maverick[/name]. Maybe Rev?

I like Rev! Very cute! [name]Rhett[/name] is a tough one. I think a nn for [name]Rhett[/name] will just have to develop once you meet him. My DS is [name]Bram[/name] (also essentially nickname-less) but we call him Brammie, Brammer, Bam Bam, B.B. and Brammie Muffin (this one I’m sure he will love when he is older). These nicknames were not pre planned or anything. I’m sure the same thing will happen with [name]Rhett[/name].

[name]Love[/name] [name]Rhett[/name] btw. It’s one of my top choices for a future boy.

This can become challenging.

Personally, I have thought of [name]Rhett[/name], as a nickname for, [name]Everett[/name]. [name]Even[/name] though it is a stand alone name.

Maybe you can call him Rev, as a pp suggested. [name]ReM[/name] is another possibility.

You can scramble the letters in his name to get a nickname:
[name]Ari[/name]
[name]Chet[/name]
[name]Kai[/name]
[name]Remi[/name]
[name]Tai[/name]
[name]Tate[/name]
[name]Mack[/name]

Or you can just let a nickname come naturally. [name]How[/name] I call my nieces:
[name]One[/name] I occasionally call, Gizmo. It has absolutely nothing to do with her name.
Another one I call ***Pie. Which takes part of her first name with the added word, pie.
Another goes by the nickname of her middle name.
Another goes by the name she was honored for.
Another goes by the mispronunciation (caused by a close family member when they were younger) of her original letter nickname. i.e. (If her original nickname was E.J. – I will call her E.[name]Bae[/name])
Another goes by something I just put together–mostly in reference to her cheeks. Chun.ky.Cho.co.late.[name]Chip[/name].Munk. or just [name]Chip[/name].munk.
