My husband and I both like the name [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], but haven’t found a nickname yet that we are happy with. I’ve seen the usuals - [name_m]Seb[/name_m], Bass, [name_m]Bastian[/name_m]… - but am wondering if anyone has heard any other, less common nicknames. This could possibly be The Name…if only we can find a nickname we love!
I know one who goes by Sea Bass. lol. Try [name_m]Baz[/name_m], as the pp suggested, or maybe [name_f]Sian[/name_f] or Sab. My favorite, though, is Bash.
I always thought [name_m]Seb[/name_m], [name_u]Ash[/name_u], and [name_m]Ian[/name_m] were really cool, personally. (And more recently, Bash and [name_m]Bastian[/name_m]!)
I was going to say [name_u]Ash[/name_u], and thought I was clever coming up with it hahaha =P
Really that is all you got, or use the middle name. I non-intentionally started calling my son his mn and it’s stuck, now his middle has nicknames we call him tooo lol.
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] nicknames:
many of these are pushing it:
[name_m]Ian[/name_m]
Tian (tea-inn)
[name_m]Stan[/name_m]
[name_m]Sean[/name_m]
[name_m]Tino[/name_m]
[name_m]Bean[/name_m]
[name_u]Bay[/name_u]
[name_u]Ashton[/name_u]
[name_m]Tanner[/name_m]
[name_m]Austin[/name_m]
I’ve always love the nickname [name_f]Basha[/name_f] for [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]. It might be seen as feminine, but I think it’d be a very sweet nickname for a young [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m].
You have come up with some different ones - thank you!!
I have to say, my husband loves Bash.
Not to ruin anyone’s love of the name, but I’d like to know if I’m weird for thinking this…I either think of “bashful” or I think of the verb ‘to bash’ and feel like it’s similar to naming him BamBam.
[name_m]Hi[/name_m], I’m a girl and my second name is [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] which is weird for a girl but its even more “unique” I guess since my first name is a boy name as well. Anyways, if you’re interested in being unique and naming your baby girl (if have) [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] here are some nicknames I found:
[name_u]Sacha[/name_u]: Defender [name_f]Sen[/name_f]: [name_f]Lotus[/name_f] [name_f]Flower[/name_f] [name_f]Sian[/name_f] ([name_m]Shaan[/name_m]): Gift of God Sasi: [name_f]Moon[/name_f] [name_f]Tiana[/name_f]: [name_f]Princess[/name_f] [name_f]Yana[/name_f]: Doer of good deeds Yen: [name_m]Calm[/name_m] [name_u]Bay[/name_u]/[name_f]Bae[/name_f]: [name_u]Auburn[/name_u]-haired/[name_m]Born[/name_m] on saturday (My parents call me this as a short form of baby since I’m their first child but it can be a more feminine ver of [name_m]Baz[/name_m]/[name_m]Bas[/name_m]) [name_f]Tia[/name_f]: [name_f]Goddess[/name_f] Bia: [name_f]Spirit[/name_f] of force, power and might [name_f]Sabine[/name_f]: Woman of the [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] people Astia: [name_f]Star[/name_f]
Honestly growing up I got embarrassed having my name as [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] as kids/teens being themselves will make fun of something odd or unique but as I grew older I have come to accept my name and come to actually love how weird and different it is. I just want to share to spread the name [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] for girls
