My mum suggested the name Sebastian for my June baby which I like but I’m assuming he’d always be called Seb which I don’t personally like. Are there other nicknames for Sebastian? Im drawing a blank!
I’ve heard Bash as a nn for [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]. How would you be pronouncing it? In the UK it’s generally se-bas-tee-un. [name_f]My[/name_f] friend calls her child with this name [name_m]Seb[/name_m] and Sebby. There’s also the diminutive [name_m]Bastian[/name_m].

Good question. I’d probably say it like See-bass-chin. I live in the UK but I’m kiwi and we do butcher names with our accent!

Sebastian is my fave boys name - which I unfortunately (but fortunately) pitched to my older sister so it’s my oldest nephew’s name.
Nicknames he gets: Seb, Sebby/Sebi, Bash and Bashy.
My cousin’s kid called Sebastian is called Bass and Bassy.
Bastian is a great (and v handsome) nickname too but would likely be shortened again.
They’re both “Se-bastee-uhn” but some people throw Y in there “Yun” or even a “Gin”.
