The spanish nickname is [name_u]Vale[/name_u] pronounced like Vah-lay, but i think [name_f]Nina[/name_f] would work! I really like this name and it is hugely popular in latin america, where my hsband is from and we may live. But i want a name that can cross languages and i also loathe [name_u]Val[/name_u] and [name_f]Tina[/name_f]
[name_f]Valley[/name_f] or [name_u]Vale[/name_u] would be cute.
First of all, I have to say, I really despise when beautiful names are hacked up and shortened to accommodate someone who’s too lazy to say an extra syllable. So for that reason, not really a fan of nicknames, unless they have the potential to be lovely stand alone names all by themselves.
For this name though, it has that option.
