[name]Hi[/name] there. I have question for you berries. I’m in love with the name [name]Victoria[/name], but don’t like the nicknames of [name]Tori[/name], [name]Toria[/name], or [name]Vicky[/name]. Someone suggested the nickname [name]Vika[/name] (pronounced Vee-ka), which is a nickname for [name]Victoria[/name] in the Ukraine, I guess.
[name]Vita[/name]! (it means “life” in Italian). I like it best as a nickname for [name]Vittoria[/name], but I think it could work for [name]Victoria[/name] too.
Are you looking for a nn because you don’t like [name]Victoria[/name], or because you fear the inevitable and want to force it one way or the other? I’m only asking because I too have a 3-syllable name that I go by all the time…no nn (well, ok, sometimes my husband and my sister and my best friend call me a shortened version - but only if they are trying to quickly get my attention. I just think [name]Victoria[/name] is beautiful, elegant. the nn’s are just OK, of the ones suggested, I guess I’d pick [name]Vita[/name].
I like nn [name]Rory[/name] for [name]Victoria[/name]. [name]Vika[/name] (Vee-ka) and [name]Vita[/name] are cute too. I don’t care much for [name]Tori[/name] or [name]Vicky[/name] though. [name]Victoria[/name] is a lovely name!
Sorry, i do like [name]Tori[/name]/[name]Torie[/name] a lot, though i also like…
[name]Vic[/name]
Vittie
V
[name]Ria[/name]
[name]Tia[/name]
Sorry, not a lot coming to mind
I really like the nickname [name]Vika[/name], and it could work even with your spelling. I’ve got a three year old who loved watching the gymnastics in the Olympics, and one of the Russian gymnasts was named [name]Viktoria[/name] with the nickname [name]Vika[/name].
My personal favourite is [name]Vika[/name] which I first heard on a Belarussian tennis player. She also sometimes spells it [name]Vichka[/name], pronounced the same way. I also love [name]Vita[/name]. But I love the full [name]Victoria[/name] most of all.
