Nieve

Something I’ve liked for a while now, but haven’t come up with a combo until now! :grin:

[name_f]Vela[/name_f]-[name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Nieve[/name_f]

Note: I would pronounce the V closer to a B — native Spanish speakers know what I am talking about.

ETA: The problem I have with this is the lack of a potential masculine NN — WDYT?

It’s lovely! I like the sound a lot (although, could you please clarify how you are pronouncing it? I hope I’m not getting it wrong) and it looks very pretty written down. I admit, I assumed it was a different spelling of [name_f]Niamh[/name_f], but I just googled it and it seems to be a totally different Spanish name!

Vale is a potential masculine/unisex name! It’s the only one I can think of currently, but I’ll let you know if I come up with any other ideas.

Is [name_f]Nieve[/name_f] like Nee-ev?
Maybe nn [name_u]Mel[/name_u] from [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]?

I like [name_f]Nieve[/name_f]!! I prefer the spelling [name_f]Niamh[/name_f], but [name_f]Nieve[/name_f] works too (I know they’re different names, I just prefer the other spelling) [name_f]Vela[/name_f]-[name_f]Mabel[/name_f] with the B pronounciation (yes I know what you’re talking about :wink:) has a lot of repeated sounds, but that doesn’t matter at all if you love it!!

I think it’s cute!

I would say it more like the word nueve where it has a more pronounced V versus it sounding it more like a B (of course the U would change to an I though), but I can still say it easily like that

It’s sparky and sweet

Vela-[name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Nieve[/name_f] could have the nn [name_u]Billy[/name_u]/Billie, [name_m]Abe[/name_m] or [name_m]Abel[/name_m]

@baya44 @hellobanjo It’s Spanish, not a variant of [name_f]Niamh[/name_f]. Nee-ay-bay.

It looks like naive to me. Neye (Ni) - eve
