While looking for an alternative for [name_u]Nikita[/name_u], I came across [name_m]Nikias[/name_m] and I think I’ve fallen in love with it. What do you guys think about this name? Good or bad? Usable? First impressions?

I like it. It’s kinda middle ground between [name_u]Nikita[/name_u] and [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m]

Exactly, and I guess that’s what I was looking for. I like [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] a lot, I also like [name_m]Nikolai[/name_m] and [name_u]Nikita[/name_u], but none of them felt exactly right. [name_m]Nikias[/name_m] seems to combine the things I love in all of these names.

i’ve personally never been a fan of nikita, and while i love nicholas, sometimes it isn’t spunky enough. but i love nikias! girl i am adding this to my list.

and congrats on the little pumpkins! your children have beautiful names.

Thank you! And [name_m]Nikias[/name_m] is just perfect, right? When I first came across it I couldn’t believe how I didn’t know this name existed.

Great find! I would’ve imagined it was a little-used nickname for [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m], but I like that it has its own story. It reminds me of [name_m]Matthias[/name_m] in spirit - starts off as a popular classic but ends unexpectedly.

I personally prefer both [name_u]Nikita[/name_u] and [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m], but if it feels like the perfect blend between the two for you, you should totally use it!

I feel the same way too and also [name_u]Nikola[/name_u]. But I also agree exactly with the point @findemaxa13 made. It’s nice to get feedback but ultimately if you really love a name, you should totally use it.

i’m so excited about it! i haven’t discovered a name i love and would use like this in ages. i can’t believe i didn’t know about it before, but i swear i would name a child this tomorrow. thank you :heart:

I believe so… Thank God :sweat_smile: Now I only have to figure out the middle names (already certain of one, not sure about the other, and need to decide what fits with what).
