Nino?

How are we feeling about [name_m]Nino[/name_m]?

I’ve had the longest crush on it ever since I met a little boy called [name_m]Nino[/name_m] at the hospital. I can totally envision myself with a little son called [name_m]Nino[/name_m] (though I am far from having kids). I also know of older people called [name_m]Nino[/name_m] so I know it can also work on many stages on life.

How do you like it? [name_m]Can[/name_m] you see it on an adult and an elder? What would you pair it with, both middle and siblings-wise? I’d describe my style as soft names you’d find on a fantasy book character, and it’s important to me that names work in different languages.

Thanks in advance!

I like it, there are a few boys at my school called [name_m]Nino[/name_m], and it fits them perfectly

It most definietly works for a cute baby toddler, & an elderly individual.

It’s not for me but i love it for others.

hmmmm, maybe [name_m]Nino[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], [name_m]Nino[/name_m] [name_m]Dominic[/name_m], something classic. Sibling wise, a nickname name would work.

I like it but I do prefer it as a nickname, I think (maybe because I sometimes suffer from long name envy, but Gianni/Giannino is so romantic to me).

I do think it fits in with current trends without being trendy- at least in the US, which is a great bonus.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] the suggestions of [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] and [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] in the middle spot.

I think I would lean into the Italian of it all for siblings

@deziguess glad you like it! [name_m]Nino[/name_m] [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] is dashing! Thanks for the input and suggestions

@anon73451839 while [name_m]Giannino[/name_m] is very handsome, it’s not my style and I’d feel weird using it not having any Italian heritage. [name_m]Nino[/name_m] feels separate enough from [name_m]Giannino[/name_m] to me, and short names are really in style where I live (Croatia). Probably should’ve specified that I’m not in the US  Thanks for your input!

It does remind me of that one episode of [name_m]Gordon[/name_m] Ramsays Kitchen Nightmares but it is a cool and distinct sounding name. Cute but mature at the same time

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

I think it’s super cute. I like it better as a nn though. Maybe for [name_m]Antonio[/name_m] or [name_m]Valentino[/name_m]?

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

Super cute! I think it works just fine on its on, but it’s a great nickname too. O-ending boys names are the best!

[name_f]My[/name_f] good friend has a 3 year old called [name_m]Nino[/name_m] & it suits him perfectly! I also think it’s a complete-sounding name on it’s own & doesn’t necessarily need a ‘longer’ version.

@Renee5322 I agree, there’s something special about o-ending names. [name_f]Glad[/name_f] you like it!

@Millicent it’s great to hear that, thank you!

I love [name_m]Nino[/name_m] and am always glad to hear it! It feels friendly, bright, and fluid. I think it makes a great nickname, but I like it on its own as well!
