We are kind of loving the name [name_u]Josie[/name_u] [name_u]Reid[/name_u] for our little girl name. But after writing it down, does it look okay together? Is the ie-ei combo too much for a name? Our last name starts with a D and is 2 syllables.

I love Josie!
If the ie-ei bothers you why not spell Reed this way? I’m pretty sure it’s the most common spelling.
Your last name starting with a D sounds a bit awkward with Reed/Reid, but since it’s only a middle name it doesn’t matter that much.

[name_u]Josie[/name_u] [name_u]Reid[/name_u] is so sweet! The ie-ei didn’t stick out to me at all looking at the name; it wouldn’t have even occurred to me before reading your concern. I think the combo works beautifully! Actually, my only flow-related uncertainty here would be [name_u]Reid[/name_u] D_, with the two Ds next to each other. Not a dealbreaker by any means though!

I think the spelling it totally fine, but seconding the idea of [name_u]Reed[/name_u] if it bothers you!

[name_u]Josie[/name_u] [name_u]Reid[/name_u] is perfect it sounds so pretty yet sleek and modern, if you were thinking of more spellings how about:

Jozie
[name_f]Josi[/name_f]

[name_u]Reed[/name_u]
[name_u]Read[/name_u]

[name_u]Josie[/name_u] [name_u]Reid[/name_u] is sweet and the spelling doesn’t throw me off, though as @tallemaja suggests, [name_u]Reed[/name_u] could be a solution

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that name! People rarely use middle names for anything but official papers, so I say go for it!

I think it’s too much. Also, the D sounds in [name_u]Reid[/name_u] and your surname blend together. What about [name_u]Josie[/name_u] [name_f]Reine[/name_f] (said as [name_u]Wren[/name_u] not Rain), [name_u]Josie[/name_u] [name_f]Rell[/name_f], [name_u]Josie[/name_u] [name_u]Rue[/name_u], or [name_u]Josie[/name_u] [name_u]Rynn[/name_u]?

I think [name_u]Josie[/name_u] [name_u]Reid[/name_u] is really cute. I have a daughter named [name_u]Josie[/name_u] [name_f]Amber[/name_f]!
