I was with my boyfriend for over 2.5 years and we had talked about baby names. Well he said he wanted his first son to be named [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_m]Walter[/name_m]. And now that were no longer together, I dont feel right to have [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_m]Walter[/name_m] on my list. So I need your help to give me some feedback on some names [name_m]Ive[/name_m] been loving lately.
I like [name_u]Micah[/name_u] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
[name_m]David[/name_m] [name_m]Walter[/name_m] is a horrible name anyways
[name_m]Franklin[/name_m]: makes me think of a turtle [name_m]Christian[/name_m]: too religious, try [name_u]Chris[/name_u] [name_m]Zechariah[/name_m]: looks like a mis spelling of [name_m]Zachariah[/name_m], and sounds like somone with a [name_m]New[/name_m] Zealand accent saying [name_m]Zachariah[/name_m] [name_u]Micah[/name_u]: I like this [name_u]Jody[/name_u]: Old womens name [name_u]Dean[/name_u]: Middle age alcoholic [name_m]Davis[/name_m]: last name and too close to [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]: last name [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]: girls name [name_u]Shelby[/name_u]: girls name [name_m]Brant[/name_m]: last name, try [name_u]Bryce[/name_u] [name_m]Ephraim[/name_m]: [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t even know how to say this [name_u]Van[/name_u]: As in like a people mover? [name_f]Torey[/name_f]: [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t no how to say this [name_m]Guy[/name_m]: As in [name_m]Guy[/name_m] and Girl? [name_u]Lane[/name_u]: Girls name [name_u]Schuyler[/name_u]: Is this said [name_u]Skyler[/name_u]? if it is than Girls name [name_m]Ulysses[/name_m]: Makes me think of a butterfly [name_m]Uriah[/name_m]: Makes me think of Uranus
Middle name options: [name_f]Thyme[/name_f]: Girls name and to planty [name_m]Basil[/name_m]: to Planty [name_m]Ross[/name_m]: Horrible [name_m]Matthew[/name_m]: I like this [name_u]Michael[/name_u]: I like this [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]: this is alright [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]: I like this [name_m]Mark[/name_m]: middle aged man [name_m]Robert[/name_m]: Middle aged man, try [name_u]Robbie[/name_u]
[name_m]Zechariah[/name_m] is so nice! I love any form of [name_m]Zach[/name_m]'s though!
[name_m]Ephraim[/name_m]- I love this name. [name_m]Ephraim[/name_m] [name_m]Ross[/name_m] has a certain ring too it. I do like [name_m]Ephraim[/name_m] with any of the names: [name_m]Matthew[/name_m], [name_u]Michael[/name_u], [name_m]Joseph[/name_m], and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] and [name_m]Mark[/name_m] and [name_m]Even[/name_m] [name_m]Robert[/name_m]. Can’t go wrong with any of those.
[name_m]Brant[/name_m]- [name_m]Brant[/name_m] I do like. It’s a solid name to me, and very masculine.
[name_u]Lane[/name_u] is lovely, and could be used for a middle name too. I see it as unisex.
[name_u]Micah[/name_u] [name_m]Ross[/name_m], [name_u]Dean[/name_u] [name_u]Michael[/name_u], [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] [name_m]Basil[/name_m] and [name_m]Brant[/name_m] [name_m]Robert[/name_m] are my favorite combos.
Thoughts on your list:
[name_m]Franklin[/name_m]: Still too connected to the turtle for me to use, but if you are brave enough it is a very handsome and strong name.
[name_m]Christian[/name_m]: Very popular and obviously strong religious association but if that doesn’t bother you its OK.
[name_m]Zechariah[/name_m]: I prefer [name_m]Zachariah[/name_m], again strong religious association.
[name_u]Micah[/name_u]: I really like [name_u]Micah[/name_u], recognizable but underused. Strong, handsome and memorable.
[name_u]Jody[/name_u]: My best friends 18 year old sister is named [name_u]Jody[/name_u] and as that’s the only [name_u]Jody[/name_u] I know its hard for me to see as on a boy.
[name_u]Dean[/name_u]: [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Dean[/name_u] for the same reasons as [name_u]Micah[/name_u].
[name_m]Davis[/name_m]: I like it, but it is close to [name_m]David[/name_m]. Might get mistaken for [name_m]David[/name_m] when said aloud.
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m]: [name_u]Love[/name_u] this for the same reasons as [name_u]Dean[/name_u] and [name_u]Micah[/name_u].
[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]: I don’t think its usable for boys anymore.
[name_u]Shelby[/name_u]: This one either.
[name_m]Brant[/name_m]: Fresh, bold, love its for the same reasons as [name_m]Conrad[/name_m], [name_u]Dean[/name_u] and [name_u]Micah[/name_u].
[name_m]Ephraim[/name_m]: I don’t see this one being easy to wear at any age.
[name_u]Van[/name_u]: [name_u]Love[/name_u] it as a nickname.
[name_f]Torey[/name_f]: I would suggest [name_m]Troy[/name_m] or [name_u]Tyson[/name_u] instead.
[name_m]Guy[/name_m]: I’ve an uncle [name_m]Guy[/name_m] but I don’t see this as a useable first name anymore.
[name_u]Lane[/name_u]: Like it for a middle
[name_u]Schuyler[/name_u]: Would be mispronounced and misspelled often. I would go with the [name_u]Skylar[/name_u] spelling. Although I think it would be hard for a boy to wear.
[name_m]Ulysses[/name_m]: I see this being very hard to wear at any age.
[name_m]Uriah[/name_m]: Same as Ulyssess
Middle name options:
[name_f]Thyme[/name_f]: [name_u]Love[/name_u] it for a girl
[name_m]Basil[/name_m]: [name_u]LOVE[/name_u]. Would go well with [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] or [name_u]Micah[/name_u].
[name_m]Ross[/name_m]: Also adore as much as [name_m]Basil[/name_m]. Would go well with [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] or [name_u]Micah[/name_u].
[name_m]Matthew[/name_m]: Works well with [name_u]Dean[/name_u] and [name_m]Brant[/name_m]
[name_u]Michael[/name_u]: Also works well with [name_u]Dean[/name_u] and [name_m]Brant[/name_m].
[name_m]Joseph[/name_m]: Works well with [name_u]Dean[/name_u], [name_u]Micah[/name_u] and [name_m]Brant[/name_m].
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]: Works well with [name_u]Dean[/name_u], [name_u]Micah[/name_u] and [name_m]Brant[/name_m].
[name_m]Mark[/name_m]: I prefer [name_m]Marcus[/name_m]
[name_m]Robert[/name_m]: Works well with [name_u]Dean[/name_u] and [name_u]Micah[/name_u].
From your list I most like [name_m]Zechariah[/name_m], [name_u]Micah[/name_u], [name_f]Thyme[/name_f], [name_m]Ephraim[/name_m], [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u], [name_m]Ulysses[/name_m] & [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]…
This one just made me laugh. [name_m]Ulysses[/name_m] doesn’t make you think of the American president, the [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_u]Joyce[/name_u] novel, or the Odyssey… but a butterfly. Fair enough.
But [name_u]Clove[/name_u] and [name_m]Tyde[/name_m] are acceptable choices.
A bit funny coming from someone with [name_m]Harlan[/name_m], [name_m]Fraser[/name_m], [name_f]Elouise[/name_f], [name_f]Myra[/name_f], and [name_u]Harley[/name_u] on their list.
But [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u] isn’t? You’re contradicting yourself quite a bit here, [name_f]Cara[/name_f].
Now back to your inquiry, OP. I definitely think you should ditch [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_m]Walter[/name_m]. Here’s my top six from your list:
