Nod to Greek Heritage

Lately I’ve been thinking more and more about Greek baby names. As a second generation Greek-Australian I think it’d be really nice to acknowledge my heritage with my kids’ names one day but don’t want to go the ‘typical’ route of [name_f]Eleni[/name_f], Yianni or [name_f]Athena[/name_f].

I’ve considered names from mythology but often find that the names are far too unique to be considered seriously. The only one I can see myself using is probably [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] but I’m open to suggestions

Does anyone know of some modern sounding names of Greek origin or any that are in some way connected to Greece?

I think [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] rocks, but here are some ideas:
[name_f]Helena[/name_f]/[name_f]Elena[/name_f]
[name_f]Petra[/name_f]
[name_u]Phoenix[/name_u]
[name_f]Electra[/name_f]
[name_u]Percy[/name_u]/[name_m]Perseus[/name_m] (because of [name_u]Percy[/name_u] [name_m]Jackson[/name_m])
[name_u]Echo[/name_u]
[name_f]Delta[/name_f]
[name_f]Acacia[/name_f]
[name_f]Agatha[/name_f]
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]/[name_m]Alexander[/name_m]
[name_f]Angela[/name_f]/[name_f]Angelina[/name_f]
[name_m]Apollo[/name_m] (it’s pretty fashionable now)
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m]
[name_m]Atticus[/name_m] (but remember the new book thingy)
[name_m]Cadmus[/name_m] (I love this!)
[name_f]Irene[/name_f] (love love love)([name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] [name_m]Holmes[/name_m])
[name_u]Hero[/name_u] (this too)
[name_f]Callie[/name_f] (Torres, perf for a [name_u]Grey[/name_u]'s fan!)
[name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] (for Castle/the magazine fans)
[name_u]Indigo[/name_u] (colourful!)
[name_m]Nereo[/name_m]
[name_f]Demetria[/name_f] ([name_f]Demi[/name_f]'s fans)
[name_f]Doris[/name_f]/[name_m]Nemo[/name_m] ([name_m]Nemo[/name_m]'s)
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_m]Draco[/name_m]/[name_f]Narcissa[/name_f] (Death Eaters)
[name_f]Effie[/name_f]/[name_u]Rue[/name_u] (The Hunger Games)
[name_f]Gaia[/name_f] (too hippie for me)
[name_f]Sofia[/name_f]/[name_f]Zoe[/name_f] (maybe, too popular now)
[name_m]Theophilos[/name_m] (you could call him [name_u]Theo[/name_u])
[name_u]Elias[/name_u]
