Noemi or Naomi

Thoughts?
[name_f]Noemi[/name_f] is new to me, but I love the idea of a possible Emi/Emmy nickname. I do wonder if it will be mispronounced as [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] from those unfamiliar with the name? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you prefer [name_f]Naomi[/name_f], or find it overused? Thoughts of both with the firm middle of [name_f]Diana[/name_f] (for my late mother)?

I like [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] and have only ever known one. [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] is appealing but feels backwards to me compared with [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]. I think saying it right is hard for me even as [name_u]Ive[/name_u] become more familiar with it on nameberry.

I do really like [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]!

I like [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] better than [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] with your other kids’ names, but they both work great with [name_f]Diana[/name_f].

both are nice, but noemi feels a lot fresher to me!! and i prefer it with diana. both work well with it, but the combo just feels a bit more exciting with noemi, since diana is such a traditional choice already

I love both, so it’s hard to choose. I think [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] wins this one though; [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] flows much better to me and I adore the idea of nn [name_f]Emmy[/name_f]!

[name_f]Noemi[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f]!

[name_f]Noemi[/name_f] is warm, distinctive and lovely!!! nn [name_f]Emi[/name_f] is cute!

I do think it’s possible that it might be mistaken for [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] since [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] is more familiar.

[name_f]Noemi[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] is my favourite

I prefer [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f]

[name_f]Naomi[/name_f]

Both are gorgeous!

[name_f]Naomi[/name_f] is lovely a very peaceful name that feels classic and timeless with a ballerina flair. She’s definitely not overused. I think [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] is very pretty.

However [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] just really appeals me I actually find this pronunciation less confusing than [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] as people always say [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] differently (nigh o mee- nay o mee etc) whereas I’ve just heard people use the one pronunciation. [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] is gorgeous and sounds wonderful with [name_f]Diana[/name_f].

I think I prefer [name_f]Neomi[/name_f], it’s sparkly and sunshine-y!

I prefer the sound of [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]!

I LOVE [name_f]Noemi[/name_f]. It is the name of a friend’s daughter and she goes exclusively by [name_f]Noemi[/name_f], and I prefer/would suggest that. It is such a gorgeous name but Emmy/Emmie is so common being that it works for so many other [name_f]Em[/name_f] names that it doesn’t shine now.

[name_f]Noemi[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f]

[name_f]Noemi[/name_f] is lovely. Yes, it might get mistaken for [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] and she would have to probably offer the spelling, but it’s one of those totally worth it names! Different from her peers, cute for a little girl, elegant for an adult. I think Ems would be a cute nn.

I do think it will be mistaken for [name_f]Naomi[/name_f], but it wouldnt be too hard to correct. Personally I prefer [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] as it feels softer and fresher than [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]

Both are lovely, but I lean towards [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] . I also think [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] may get mispronounced as [name_f]Naomi[/name_f].

I would use [name_f]Noemi[/name_f].
