[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there! I’m brainstorming some ideas for subtle nature (or other noun names) that aren’t flowers. I have a daughter named [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and while I’d like to stick with a nature or noun name theme for all of my kids, I don’t want them all to be flower names. (Though I’m open to other botanical names, if it doesn’t sound too matchy matchy.)
It could definitely be a name that has a nature meaning without being obvious (like [name_f]Daphne[/name_f].) In fact, maybe a nature name that’s not immediately obvious would be ideal - I’d love to find something subtle, so the sibling nature name connection doesn’t seem over the top or in your face. And ideally, nothing too hippie sounding, since it would have to fit with [name_f]Rose[/name_f], which is more of a classic type of name.
I was thinking [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], but wonder if [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] together might sound a bit too old lady-ish? It’s so hard to strike the perfect balance between classic and fresh sounding!
I do like [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], which I mentioned above, but my husband vetoed it. Speaking of [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], I also like [name_f]Laurel[/name_f], but a close friend has used that name. I like [name_u]Wren[/name_u] and love the idea of a bird name, but [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_u]Wren[/name_u] feel off to me as a sibset, maybe since they start with the same sound but a different letter?
Anyway, I’d be grateful for any fresh ideas! Thank you!
