For a nickname for [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f] I like [name_u]Nori[/name_u]. However, I am unsure on the spelling. [name_u]Nori[/name_u], Nory, Norie, and Norey are the spellings I am considering. Though it is a nickname, I want it to be more of a stand alone name. I think [name_u]Nori[/name_u] looks a bit too nickname-y. What spelling do you prefer and what are your thoughts on them? Thank you!
I like [name_u]Nori[/name_u] the best. [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f] is a stunning name by the way!
[name_u]Nori[/name_u] means seaweed in japanese. Unfortunately that’s my immediate connotation.
I like [name_u]Nori[/name_u] best! It looks cute but substantial to me. It reminds me of established nn like [name_f]Tori[/name_f] or [name_f]Lori[/name_f]
[name_u]Nori[/name_u] is my favourite!
[name_u]Nori[/name_u] makes me think of seaweed, sorry! It also looks pretty dated to me as it reminds me of [name_f]Tori[/name_f], which was popular in the 90s. [name_u]Norie[/name_u]'s cute and makes the most sense in my opinion.
[name_u]Nori[/name_u] or [name_u]Norie[/name_u] looks best to me. It’s a cute nickname!
Nori is definitely seaweed. I think most people would associate it with that. But it’s a cute-sounding nickname, maybe better off spelt as Nory.
There’s also [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_f]Nor[/name_f] and the beautifully whismical [name_f]Lenore[/name_f].
Eleanora is fabulous.
Your nickname automatically makes me think of seaweed in Japanese. Most ppl who like sushi or seaweed snacks from Trader [name_m]Joe[/name_m]’s, for example, might also think this way. [name_f]Every[/name_f] kid in my class eats these! So i assume a lot of ppl might make this association. But is it a bad thing? I don’t think so… kinda cute.
As for spelling, I would do [name_u]Norie[/name_u]. Seems like almost a stand alone name. I don’t like an I ending at all… I’ve always hated [name_f]Lori[/name_f], for example, for this reason. Looks incomplete and just yuck! A Y ending could be ok, like in [name_u]Rory[/name_u], but not sure I like the look of Nory. I say go with [name_u]Norie[/name_u]! I also like [name_f]Nora[/name_f] as a nn
