Not Really! Funny or Ironic Name Combos You Actually Know

I went to school with a [name]Marielle[/name] Lamb. Kids would always sing [name]Mary[/name] had a little…to her. I also had a neighbors named [name]Ida[/name] Pugh and [name]Noah[/name] [name]Way[/name]. The kids always laughed about their names.

I once met an [name]Ava[/name] [name]Gina[/name](rhymes with [name]China[/name]) :frowning:

I know a 10 year old girl named [name]Allie[/name] [name]Allison[/name]. Her first name is [name]Allie[/name] and her last name is [name]Allison[/name]. And one of the singers for the boy band [name]One[/name] Direction is named [name]Harry[/name] Styles. (Sounds like hairstyles.)

My boyfriend’s orchestra teacher in high school was named [name]Grace[/name] Song

Also, his family is from a country in South [name]America[/name]- so they speak spanish, and when they still lived there they knew a woman named [name]Dolores[/name] Fuerte de Cabeza, which translates to “extreme pains of the head”

Watching a home show and the realtor is named [name]Mary[/name] [name]Perry[/name]. I find rhyming names funny!

I went to high school with a guy named [name]Kent[/name] [name]Barritt[/name] and always thought that was pretty funny.

When I was in first grade there was a boy named [name]Moise[/name] Butt :? I also know a boy named [name]James[/name] [name]Piper[/name] [name]Bond[/name] III, although everyone calls him [name]Piper[/name] (Pipe-er).

There’s the English food writer and television presenter [name]Mary[/name] [name]Berry[/name]. [name]Just[/name] looked it up, [name]Berry[/name]'s her maiden name so she couldn’t do anything about it.

But I never understand why parents give their kids names like that- do they do it just to be funny?! Haha… not really

Not a real person yet, but this guy I know is dead-set on having a daughter named [name]Sophie[/name], which would make her [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Moore[/name], sounds kind of like sophomore to me.

My dad had a teacher in high school named Mr. Weiner. First name [name]Harry[/name]. No joke.

I know a [name]Kerry[/name] [name]Perry[/name] (married into).

I had a Mrs Bosse (prn Bossy) in primary school.

Some of these are great! Not nearly as funny as some of these, but I scratch my head over the names our friends picked for their daughters: [name]Beth[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Nora[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] (I am NOT kidding!). [name]Nora[/name] has a twin named [name]Jack[/name]…had they both been boys their names would have been [name]Jack[/name] and [name]John[/name]. I guess they don’t mind being repetitive!

My mom worked with a guy named [name]Richard[/name] Odor. He went by [name]Dick[/name]. [name]Dick[/name] Odor. No joke.

Oh I forgot, I also know a family that’s [name]Jim[/name] [name]Bow[/name], [name]Tim[/name] [name]Bow[/name], and (ready for it…) [name]Elle[/name] [name]Bow[/name].

That just reminded me, one of my best friends had a pediatrician growing up named Dr. Nasty. Isn’t it hard enough going to the doctor when you’re a little kid, then to add insult to injury his name is Dr. Nasty!

Oh, and my step dad has two brothers. [name]Rod[/name] and [name]Dick[/name]. No joke.

I had a ped named Dr. [name]Moody[/name]. He should have been a psychiatrist though! Actually, I think I heard he killed himself, which while very sad, is also sort of fitting.

Dear [name]Abby[/name] and [name]Ann[/name] [name]Landers[/name] were twins born as [name]Pauline[/name] [name]Esther[/name] and [name]Esther[/name] [name]Pauline[/name].

A local doctor named [name]Monica[/name] (first name) [name]Monica[/name] (last name). What???
