Eeeeek, yeah I know girls like that, they’re awful
Like it a lot!
I grew up and now live in a smallish town in England. There were quite a few Emily’s in our neighbourhood and I still see lots of babies with the name.
There were around 2-5 Emily’s in my class and I remember coming home on my first day of school and upon being asked, telling my mum that I had friends with Emily T, Millie (Emily) D and Emily F. I wouldn’t choose it myself but I see the appeal for others!
I really, really want to love [name_f]Emily[/name_f]. It seems like a name that would be at the very top of my list as I love classic, timeless names. [name_f]Emily[/name_f] was suggested to me several times when we were naming our oldest daughter as many people said they could see me with a daughter named [name_f]Emily[/name_f]. However, it falls short for me and I can’t pinpoint the reason. Maybe because I have known so many throughout life that it feels too common, almost plain [name_f]Jane[/name_f].
I really love Emily; it’s a gorgeous classic name which works on all ages. I’m biased because it’s my best friend’s name so it gives me happy vibes when I hear it It also looks absolutely beautiful when written out in calligraphy, which is an odd comment but it’s a factor that definitely turns me onto more names (it might be why I love L names so much, haha!!)
