Noticing sibset name associations that the parents didn't notice

Recently my SO has started following a TikTok account with twins named [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_u]Scout[/name_u]. At first I couldn’t figure out why those names sounded so familiar together, and then I realized those are the names of the popular Leapfrog dog toys that a lot of babies/kids have (I’ve been a nanny for a long time so I’ve seen multiple kids with the same toy). Has anyone else ever noticed an association with a real life sibset that the parents didn’t know about?

My parents named my sister and I both color names and nature names (Hazel and Violet) and didn’t realize it until years later.

I met siblings [name_m]Adam[/name_m] and [name_f]Evie[/name_f] -not sure the parents noticed

Not a sibset but I once knew someone named [name_m]Talon[/name_m] [name_m]Hawk[/name_m], don’t know if that was intentional on the parents part or not

I follow [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_u]Scout[/name_u] on Tiktok too!

Not sure if this counts but I knew a [name_u]Maria[/name_u] whose sister was [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Beth[/name_f].

[name_f]Mary[/name_f] and [name_u]Maria[/name_u] = same name, different forms.

I think it’s a good rule to Google sibsets or name combos before making final decisions. Not necessarily to change the decision, but just to know what other people may have for associations.

I know of an [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] [name_u]Skye[/name_u] and I’ve wondered if the mom knows one of the Teen Mom OGs has an [name_f]Aubree[/name_f] [name_u]Skye[/name_u].

On here I heard of a mom with a [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] and [name_u]Crimson[/name_u] who was maybe considering an [name_u]Auburn[/name_u]. Obviously the color thing is intentional but if you follow college football you would know that having an [name_u]Auburn[/name_u] and a [name_u]Crimson[/name_u] could be :hushed:. The [name_u]Auburn[/name_u] Tigers and [name_f]Alabama[/name_f] [name_u]Crimson[/name_u] [name_m]Tide[/name_m] are a huge rivalry here in [name_f]Alabama[/name_f] and no one would let that combo go unnoticed here!

[name_f]My[/name_f] daughter’s friend [name_f]Lola[/name_f] has an older brother named [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] (they have since gained another younger sister so the association isn’t so obvious). I think it’s sweet but I’d probably have avoided it myself.

I loved that show as a kid! I would definitely not be able to look past that association lol

I have a friend called [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] with a sister called [name_f]Nancy[/name_f], not obvious to most people but it does bother me that they both come from the same root name

I have seen two different Berries with kids named Milo & Otis. They must just not know! I can never look past that one… one poster also had another boy in between, which makes me further believe that they truly didn’t know.

Had a classmate named [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] with little sister named [name_u]Sage[/name_u]. I don’t know if their parents noticed, but [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] certainly did not until I decided to bring it up

I’m not sure what association this one has?

[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] and [name_u]Sage[/name_u] are both plant based names! [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] (Marguerite) means daisy in [name_u]French[/name_u]
