Nyx or Nox?

I’m looking for a name for a girl who is strong, brave, sometimes uncertain, stubborn and positive. I’ve narrowed it down to two names - [name]Nyx[/name] and Nox. Which one is best???

[name]Nyx[/name]! She was the Greek [name]Goddess[/name] of the night, and that’s really cool I think. Nox feels more like a boy.

Neither is my style but [name]Nyx[/name] looks more feminine. I think I’ve seen it listed on girls’ name sites before, there’s [name]Steve[/name] Nicks, and it also seems like [name]Nyx[/name] could lend herself to the nickname [name]Nikki[/name] if she wanted (or Nykki, Nyxie, etc).

Nox seems very masculine because of [name]Fort[/name] [name]Knox[/name], [name]Knox[/name] of Brangelina fame, and also the vague closeness to knockers seems unfortunate on a girl.

So [name]Nyx[/name] is my pick.

Oh, [name]Nyx[/name]! Another one of my guilty pleasure names. I love the name [name]Nyx[/name].

I say Nox only because [name]Nyx[/name] or [name]NYX[/name] is also a brand of cosmetics and it’s the first thing I thought of.

Not only does [name]Nyx[/name] have that Greek background; it sounds lighter, more feminine, and more clever. I think Nox looks 1. incomplete (I want it to be spelled [name]Knox[/name]), 2. more masculine, and (most strikingly to me) 3. like “noxious” and “obnoxious.” Not digging it.

[name]Nyx[/name] feels way more feminine. Nixmary is a name that I’ve heard.

Nox reminds me of [name]Fort[/name] [name]Knox[/name], [name]Angelina[/name] [name]Jolie[/name]/[name]Brad[/name] [name]Pitt[/name]'s son, lox & gelatin.

At first I was going to say neither, but looking at the other posts and seeing the history of the name [name]Nyx[/name] I am going to choose that. Nox is very masculine to me, but a lot of people are using masculine names for girls now. I would choose [name]Nyx[/name] so she would have a cool namesake.
