I have recently been watching Big [name_m]Little[/name_m] Lies and fell in love with the name of one of the characters which is [name_f]Celeste[/name_f]! And my hubby loves it too!
I like the soft and ethereal feel it has but whilst still being cool and elegant; unique but no weird; it also has a lovely meaning! It truly has it all for us. We really love the fact that the name means heavenly because after three miscarriages this little one does feel heaven sent.
We were thinking of the nicknames [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] or [name_u]Lessie[/name_u] maybe? Or [name_u]Angel[/name_u] due to the meaning? The nicknames would most likely just be used at home and by family and close family friends.
What do you think of [name_f]Celeste[/name_f]? Also, what middles would you pair with it? I think we are going to use family names but it can’t hurt to have some combos in the bag.
I think Celeste is absolutely beautiful! It’s so gentle and full of light. I love all the nicknames, but I would also use Celie and maybe even Sally
For middle names I think Celeste Rose, Celeste Lee or Celeste Mae would be perfect
[name_f]Celeste[/name_f] is pretty! If I used a nn for it, it’d probably be [name_f]Celie[/name_f] (like SEE-lee) or Cici ([name_f]Cece[/name_f]). I like [name_f]Lettie[/name_f], too, though!
[name_f]Celeste[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] were my first thoughts. Maybe [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]? Other ideas:
I love [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] but DH is not a fan. [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] was my favorite combination. I like the nickname [name_f]Celie[/name_f].
I adore [name_f]Celeste[/name_f]. My favourite nickname for it is [name_f]Ciel[/name_f], french word for sky -sounds similar enough to Cel- in [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] and also its meaning “heavenly”. [name_f]Celie[/name_f] and [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] are also really cute.

Your nn ideas are both lovely, and I saw the [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] [name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] combo suggested in an early post - and it is wonderful. I love [name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] so much. [name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] works, too. They are two of my absolute favourite names.
Big [name_m]Little[/name_m] Lies is an insane show and I love [name_f]Celeste[/name_f], both the name and character. I’ve always loved [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] for as long as I can remember, she’s a beauty. Honestly, I wouldn’t shorten it. While I don’t like the nicknames (Cel, [name_u]Lessie[/name_u], [name_f]Lettie[/name_f]) I think it’s beautiful by itself and a nickname ruins it.
