Merida’s meaning is not connected to the sea, but [name_f]Meri[/name_f] is so [name_f]Merida[/name_f] might be a longer name option.
[name_f]Esteri[/name_f] is a Finnish variation of [name_f]Esther[/name_f], meaning star, however I think it sounds like estuary, where the river meets the sea
