I’ve seen this name ([name_u]Ocean[/name_u]) a couple times at work (an embroidery shop), and I can’t decide if I love it or hate it. Thoughts?
I have godson named O’sean (pronounced ocean or if you want to be posh: OH-[name_u]Shawn[/name_u]). It’s not that bad of a name but it does take a little getting used to.
I personally don’t like it.
I don’t like it as a first name but I do like it and a lot of other water-related names as middles.
I like it as a middle name only.
This name has definitely been growing on me lately, but I’ve found that I prefer the feminine version [name_f]Oceana[/name_f] much more.
I think it quite unappealing, especially for a boy.
I know an [name_u]Ocean[/name_u]! Sibs… [name_m]Stone[/name_m], [name_m]Sol[/name_m], [name_u]River[/name_u], [name_f]Coral[/name_f]
I love this name
Honestly, I’m a little shocked that that is being used as a first name O.O I know there are a lot of nature names out there that are popular, and I even definitely like some of them ([name_u]Robin[/name_u], [name_f]Acacia[/name_f], [name_f]Azalea[/name_f], etc), but for me [name_u]Ocean[/name_u] seems to be going a little far. Maybe it is because I live next to the ocean, who knows, but it seems completely unwearable to me. Then again, I think [name_m]Wolf[/name_m] and [name_m]Fox[/name_m] are unwearable, but people seem to really like those names so shrug
I don’t like it, but nature names usually don’t appeal to me. I guess it could b usable as a middle…
I like unique word names, but ocean doesn’t have a pleasant sound as a first to me. I could see it work as a middle though.
Its too out there for me, it could probably work as a middle though but I still think I’d only put it on a girl, although its a word so technically could be used on either sex.
