Oh my goodness, quintuplets!

Can you believe it!? My husband and I have seven lovely children already, and we thought just one more girl would be good to even out the boys and girls, and we were blessed with five other children!

We’re at a total loss of what to name them!

There are three fraternals, and then a set of identical twins. Two of the fraternals are boys. One of them is a girl. The identical twins’ genders have been decided as two girls. Our last name is [name]Skyden[/name].

Our other children are:

[name]Chloe[/name] [name]Harper[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]Grant[/name] [name]Michael[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]Jacob[/name] [name]Walker[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Elsbeth[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]James[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]Lucas[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]Celia[/name] [name]Meadow[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]

Help! [name]Remember[/name], the sexes are BBGGG!!! Help, berries, help us!

Here are some suggestions:

:o Oh, wow! Congratulations! Your other children have lovely names. What about:

My immediate thought when reading this, was that your little fraternal girl may feel left out from her identical sisters which could be a problem. I think it would be a nice idea for her to have a name connected to her sisters in some way. I don’t know how, and I absolutely don’t like incredibly similar twin/multiple names at all. But all of the girls having flower middle names, or [name]German[/name] names, or names of family members would be a nice and discrete.

Anyway, I wish you the very best of luck with finding names for no.s 8, 9 , 10, 11 and 12! I’m sure whatever you choose will be lovely!

And you will now have an even amount of girls and boys, just a few more of them than you expected.
Your children have lovely names (I especially like [name]Meadow[/name]) and the girls in particular have what always seems to be like quite gentle sounding names. The boys do too but not quite as much. So here’s what I think. Some simple choices and some a little more unusual.

Thank you for your replies so far! Looking at our other children’s names, we’d like the first names to have 5 letters, the middle names whatever how many letters.

oliviasarah, I’ve been thinking that our entire pregnancy so far…I have to agree. I’m worried she’ll feel left out. [name]Do[/name] you (or does anybody else) have any ideas on how to make them feel united?

My hubby likes: [name]Henry[/name], [name]Lydia[/name], [name]Maeve[/name] and [name]David[/name] from your lists.
I like: [name]Brent[/name], [name]Diana[/name], [name]David[/name], and [name]Amber[/name] from your lists.
So, we’ve decided one of the boys should be [name]David[/name] [name]Skyden[/name] ([name]Davy[/name] as a nickname, [name]Dave[/name] when he grows up).

[name]David[/name] ??? [name]Skyden[/name]

Oh, and what do you ladies think about [name]Keira[/name] & [name]Kelly[/name] for the identical twins?

[name]David[/name] nn [name]Davy[/name]/[name]Dave[/name] is adorable! And so is the five letter, five kid theme!

As for identical girls’ names, I love [name]Kelly[/name], but [name]Kiera[/name] - not so much. Plus, if you don’t give the other girl a K name, she might feel left out. And, I’ve also read that sometimes filing for insurance can be difficult if two siblings with the same birthday and initial can be a pain/difficult.

Please keep us updated!

I think [name]Keira[/name] and [name]Kelly[/name] is cute but the other girl should definitely be a K name as well. Maybe…

I think the K names mixed with the 5 letter rule might be a little limiting. Some 5 letter boys names…

I absolutely love your husband’s choices of [name]Henry[/name], [name]David[/name], [name]Lydia[/name] and [name]Maeve[/name]. What about [name]Grace[/name] or [name]Faith[/name]?

Given your 5-letters, my favorites would be

I love [name]David[/name]. It’s one of my favourite names not only because of how it sounds but because I’ve met lots of Davids and haven’t found a bad one yet. I also love the 5 letters idea.

I think for the girls it would be best for them all to link with a theme. Like one of their names being a colour, a nature name, a virtue name. Something like that.

I think [name]Lydia[/name], [name]Amber[/name], [name]Kelly[/name] and [name]Keira[/name]. I think [name]Kelly[/name] and [name]Keira[/name] are a bit matchy for me though, and you’d then need another K name for the other girl.

[name]How[/name] about one of these?

Awh I love all your names! So cute! And I know how you’re feeling; I have four kids already and I’m pregnant with quads O.o
Anywayss…here are some ideas for the girls:
[name]Kiara[/name] (If you are still going with the K thing, [name]Kiara[/name], [name]Kelly[/name], and [name]Kylie[/name])
[name]Daisy[/name] (the flower thing: [name]Daisy[/name], [name]Lilly[/name], and [name]Calla[/name])

[name]Alysa[/name] (or [name]Alisa[/name])

Good and longish middle names:
[name]Alexander[/name], [name]Nicholas[/name], [name]Daniel[/name], [name]Christopher[/name], [name]Adrian[/name], [name]William[/name], [name]Jasper[/name], [name]Benjamin[/name], [name]Matthew[/name], and [name]Joshua[/name].
[name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Evelyn[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Katherine[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name], [name]Mirabella[/name], [name]Anastasia[/name], [name]Gwendolyn[/name], and [name]Christina[/name].

My favorite name set for you is:
[name]Daisy[/name] [name]Katherine[/name], [name]Calla[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name], [name]Lilly[/name] [name]Mirabella[/name], [name]Nolan[/name] [name]Alexander[/name], and [name]Ethan[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name].

Thank you all! My husband and I have talked about some middle names for [name]Davy[/name]. What do you guys think of:

[name]David[/name] [name]Henry[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]David[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]David[/name] [name]Andrew[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]David[/name] [name]Finley[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]

It turns out my husband doesn’t like same letters, so no on [name]Kelly[/name] & [name]Keira[/name].

berry2 - thanks for your suggetions! I love [name]Ethan[/name] and hubz likes [name]Shawn[/name], but spelt [name]Shaun[/name].
hiltzy - we won’t be using [name]Grace[/name] or [name]Faith[/name], although I love [name]Faith[/name], because our niece’s name is [name]Faith[/name] and her sister’s middle name is [name]Grace[/name]. I’d feel as if I were stealing a name if I used [name]Faith[/name]'s or [name]Deanna[/name]'s name, LOL.
kiki - [name]Pippa[/name], [name]Delta[/name], [name]April[/name], and [name]Tessa[/name] are what my hubby likes, and I’m liking [name]Della[/name], [name]Rosie[/name], [name]Sofia[/name], and [name]Clara[/name]. But after talking with him, [name]Della[/name] and [name]Delta[/name] were what we liked, but we finally decided with [name]Delta[/name] because of the emphasis on -tah.

But if we named two of the quintz D’s, would it be necessary to name them ALL D’s? I’m not sure I like that - too much of a tongue twister. We’re set on [name]David[/name] for one of our little boys…

alygrace - yeah, we’re in it together! Again, I like [name]Sofia[/name]. [name]Ethan[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name] is cute, but I’m not sure my hubby would go for it. And thank you for the flower idea, but I think it’s too matchy.

Would [name]Ethan[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name] and [name]David[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] make a good set? Oh, and hubby and I both like [name]Dylan[/name]. Would [name]Dylan[/name] & [name]Davy[/name] be too close? Again, about the D’s! Would [name]Delta[/name], [name]Dylan[/name], and [name]Davy[/name] be too much?

Here are some ideas that we had for the girls. We’ve decided to count them as triplets, now, instead of twins & an extra.
[name]Darcy[/name] & [name]Kerry[/name] & [name]Katie[/name]
[name]Leila[/name] & [name]Reina[/name] & [name]Rosie[/name]
[name]Delta[/name] & [name]Darcy[/name] & Dayla (again, with the D’s! I’m not sure if I like it or not, I know hubby doesn’t!)
[name]Kayla[/name] & [name]Lilya[/name] & [name]Marli[/name]
[name]Farra[/name] & [name]Sofia[/name] & [name]Bella[/name]

We’ve also thought about [name]Piper[/name] or [name]Fifer[/name] for one of the girls, to go with [name]Chloe[/name]'s middle name, [name]Harper[/name]. Any ideas?

I know I’m asking a lot, but what do the berries think?

OMG I love [name]Leila[/name] & [name]Reina[/name] & [name]Rosie[/name], except I would spell [name]Leila[/name] as [name]Layla[/name] and switch [name]Reina[/name] for [name]Sofia[/name] or [name]Bella[/name].
[name]How[/name] about [name]Bella[/name] [name]Sawyer[/name], [name]Sofia[/name] [name]Piper[/name], and [name]Lilah[/name] [name]Skyler[/name]? I like that A’s at the end. And if you ask me, these names flow really well together, especially with the middle names.
And yes, we are definitely in this together! I finally decided on names for my quads! [name]Mirabelle[/name] “[name]Mira[/name]” [name]Violet[/name], [name]Calla[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name], [name]Tristan[/name] [name]Lucas[/name], and [name]Declan[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name]! What do you think?

Congratulations on your family!

[name]Chloe[/name] [name]Harper[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]Grant[/name] [name]Michael[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]Jacob[/name] [name]Walker[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Elsbeth[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]James[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]Lucas[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]Celia[/name] [name]Meadow[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]

What about

[name]David[/name] [name]Henry[/name]/[name]Finley[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]Nathan[/name] [name]Richard[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]Ellen[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Skyden[/name] (the girls first names mean ‘light’)
[name]Lucy[/name] [name]Rose[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]Sorcha[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]

(all biblical names)
[name]David[/name] [name]Henry[/name] /[name]Finley[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]Samuel[/name] [name]John[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]Miriam[/name] [name]Kelly[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]Naomi[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]Anna[/name] [name]Louise[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]

First off, this is so exciting! This is like a namer’s dream! haha. Your current names are wonderful and classic names, so I feel like you should stick with those types of names for the newest little ones. I absolutely [name]LOVE[/name] [name]David[/name]/[name]Davy[/name] and feel like that fits in well with your other names. I also like your first suggestions of [name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Maeve[/name] a LOT. [name]Kerry[/name] is cute too, especially with that spelling. A bit different, but an accepted spelling. I would definitely avoid most trendy ‘k’ names though. I mentioned this on another poster’s thread, but as much as I love [name]Henry[/name], it is getting [name]WAY[/name] too popular in my opinion. I think it will be a top 10 name soon.

I would have to vote against names like [name]Delta[/name], [name]Kayla[/name], and [name]Shaun[/name], as [name]Kayla[/name] and [name]Shaun[/name] are trendy and [name]Delta[/name] is just a bit too off-beat to fit in with the rest of the names.

[name]How[/name] about…(I know some are already suggested, just giving them my vote too)

[name]Diana[/name] (love your idea of this!)
[name]Clara[/name] (love!)

[name]Hope[/name] this helps a little.

I’m glad you’re both liking so many of the names I suggested. Personally I don’t think having two names start with the same letter out of five sounds too matchy. [name]Imagine[/name] it as [name]David[/name], [name]Ethan[/name], [name]Tessa[/name], [name]Rosie[/name] and [name]Delta[/name]. The two D names aren’t even really noticeable.

Sorry for any repeats but here are some more girls names.

To everyone, I think we’re going to go with [name]David[/name] [name]Henry[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]! Thanks for your kind help, we’ll be needing a lot more of it!

About the D’s, we decided to not name them all D’s, although [name]Darcy[/name], [name]Diana[/name], and [name]Delta[/name] are still on our lists. We’d rather let them all be their own person - they’re going to get enough attention anyway for being quintuplets, I don’t want to dump the fact on them that because of the D’s they have to be the [name]Skyden[/name] [name]Set[/name] for life. [name]Davy[/name] will be our only D.

alygrace - I don’t like the initials on [name]Bella[/name] [name]Sawyer[/name] very much, but thank you for your other suggestions. =) I love your kid’s names, especially [name]Mirabelle[/name]!
michaela - thanks for your suggestions, too!
anniebee - [name]Wyatt[/name]'s really cute, thanks for your opinion!
kiki - thank you for the suggestion of [name]Robyn[/name], I definitely like that.

Using everybody’s suggestions, we’ve come up with some middle names for [name]Piper[/name] and [name]Fifer[/name]. Which is your favorite out of:

[name]Giana[/name] [name]Piper[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]
[name]Allie[/name] [name]Fifer[/name] [name]Skyden[/name] ([name]Chloe[/name] liked [name]Allie[/name])
[name]Izzie[/name] [name]Fifer[/name] [name]Skyden[/name] (Hubby’s choice)
[name]Leila[/name] [name]Piper[/name] [name]Skyden[/name] (my favorite)

Also, we have a top 5 for other little boy:

[name]Caleb[/name] (too many C’s? [name]Chloe[/name], [name]Celia[/name], and [name]Caleb[/name]?)
[name]Quinn[/name] (too feminine?)

What do the berries think?

My favorite is [name]Leila[/name], which is beautiful. I like [name]Allie[/name] and [name]Izzie[/name] a lot as nicknames, but I think they need a formal name for resumes/college applications, etc. I like [name]Giana[/name] a lot, I think it’s also beautiful and I’ve heard a girl with this name nicknamed [name]Gigi[/name] which I thought was precious, I just think it sounds a bit odd since it’s very Italian and the rest of your names are not.

For boys, I love [name]Ethan[/name], [name]Caleb[/name] (I don’t think too many c’s personally) and [name]Trent[/name]. I like [name]Quinn[/name], too, though it is border for me on the femininity. I am just not a fan of [name]Jesse[/name], personally. I think it’s a bit dated and not classic/formal enough compared to strong names like [name]James[/name], [name]David[/name], and [name]Jacob[/name]. Sorry to be blunt.

Giana Piper Skyden
Allie Fifer Skyden (Chloe liked Allie)
Izzie Fifer Skyden (Hubby’s choice)
Leila Piper Skyden (my favorite)

I really like [name]Piper[/name]. I’ve never heard the name [name]Fifer[/name] before though.
[name]Allie[/name] and [name]Izzie[/name] are nice but a bit too nicknamey for m by themselves. You could use them as nn’s for something else though, like…

Some more ideas.

Also, we have a top 5 for other little boy:

Caleb (too many C’s? Chloe, Celia, and Caleb?)
Quinn (too feminine?)

I think [name]Ethan[/name] is my favourite of your choices. [name]Caleb[/name] is ok but since you mentioned it there are a few C’s already. [name]Trent[/name] is a little too similar to [name]Grant[/name] for me and of all of them I think [name]Jesse[/name] is the most feminine. I like [name]Quinn[/name] but is it a bit cutesy to have a QUINtuplet called [name]Quinn[/name]?

To everyone, for one of the triplet girls, we’re going to name her [name]Leila[/name] [name]Piper[/name] [name]Skyden[/name]. Hubby and I just keep coming back to [name]Leila[/name], I think it’s the right name for us. Now for her sisters and brother, and all 5 will be named!

anniebee - thanks for giving the time to give your opinion. =)
kiki - thank you for the suggestion of [name]Halle[/name], we both like that, and for the suggestion of [name]Aleah[/name], that’s very pretty. [name]Quinn[/name] the Quintuplet - yes, that is a little cheesy…

Hubby and I have come up with a few more girl’s names…

…and a few more boy’s names…

…tell us what you think!

Congratulations and I love your children’s names.

[name]David[/name] and [name]Leila[/name] and

[name]Mason[/name] [name]Elliott[/name]
[name]Ethan[/name] [name]Daniel[/name]
[name]Lachlan[/name] [name]Peter[/name]
[name]Alister[/name] [name]Gordon[/name]
[name]Declan[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Reid[/name] [name]Everett[/name]
[name]Miles[/name] [name]Alexander[/name]
[name]Jasper[/name] (love with [name]Leila[/name]), [name]Jasper[/name] [name]Cruz[/name]
[name]Ronan[/name] (better imo than [name]Rowan[/name] because many girls are named [name]Rowan[/name] now) [name]Love[/name] [name]Ronan[/name] [name]Patrick[/name]
[name]Mitchell[/name] [name]Jackson[/name]

[name]Love[/name] your suggestion of [name]Julia[/name] because it is lovely and a great match with your other children
[name]Julia[/name] [name]Ellen[/name]/[name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Imogen[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Delta[/name] is BEAUTIFUL, [name]Delta[/name] [name]Gwyneth[/name]
[name]Isla[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Blythe[/name] [name]Annabel[/name]
[name]Keira[/name] [name]Lacey[/name]
[name]Tessa[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Alice[/name] [name]Junia[/name]
[name]Lara[/name] [name]Marianne[/name]
[name]Carys[/name] [name]Eloise[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
[name]Eva[/name] [name]Laurel[/name]/[name]Lorelai[/name]

Let me know if any of these suggestions appeal to you.

All the best,
