Okay name lovers.. Need opinions!

4 a girl:

Opinions, I can give.

[name]Carson[/name] - On the fence about this in two ways. Not sure if I like it (I think I do) and also not sure whether I like it for boys or girls.

Braxtyn - Honestly? No. For starters it’s misspelt, second it seems awfully tryndee (the whole last names as firsts for girls) and third, completely irrelevant but there is a company called [name]Braxton[/name] here who make car lights and they have a very provocative ad.

[name]Jadyn[/name] - Again, looks misspelt. I much prefer it [name]Jaden[/name] and then I like it … for a boy. I’d suggest [name]Jada[/name] or [name]Jordan[/name] for a girl.

[name]Cassidy[/name] - Really like, I think of [name]Butch[/name] [name]Cassidy[/name] and the [name]Sundance[/name] Kid though. Has the gorgeous nn [name]Cassie[/name] too which I love. Another idea is [name]Cassia[/name] ([name]Kash[/name]-uh).

[name]Alexis[/name] - Like, not over the moon about. I think actually I prefer this for a boy. [name]Lexi[/name] is a spunky nn though.

[name]Mckinley[/name] - No. I generally don’t like ‘Mc/[name]Mac[/name]’ names. The trend has ruined them for me and all the spellings have massacred their natural form.

[name]Makenzie[/name] - See above statement.

[name]Makenna[/name] - Ditto.

[name]Bailey[/name] - Really like! I read a book once with a darling character in it called [name]Bailey[/name] which endeared me to it forever:) Lots of people will tell you it’s a dog’s name but just [name]DON[/name]'T LISTEN to them!

[name]Kaylee[/name] - Sweet, not enough substance for me and a bit on the tryndee side.

[name]Rylie[/name] - [name]Love[/name] spelt [name]Riley[/name].

[name]Ashley[/name] - I know a lot of great people with this name but I still don’t love it unfortunately. Does sound quite 90’s to me.

[name]Carly[/name] - Like a a nn for [name]Carlotta[/name].

[name]Keely[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name]! Spelt [name]Keeley[/name], it’s a new favourite of mine:) It just has that spark, that little extra but still sounds familiar.

[name]Tennille[/name] - Um, this feels unsettling to me.

[name]Tristan[/name] - Still a boy’s name to me and I’ve never been a fan because it sounds too much like triste which is French for sad.

[name]Breckin[/name] - Sounds like breakfast or break’n something.

[name]Marie[/name] - Very pretty but extremely popular as a mn.

[name]May[/name] - Gorgeous and very old Hollywood.

[name]Lily[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name]! My absolute favourite girl’s name!

[name]Danielle[/name] - Friendly but a little dated.

[name]Isabella[/name] - Again, very pretty but oh so VERY popular.

[name]Gabriella[/name] - Despite really liking [name]Gabriel[/name] for a boy I’ve never really warmed to the feminine version.

[name]Jade[/name] - I’m not a good person to give an opinion on this name, I’ve had several bad personal experiences with people named [name]Jade[/name] which have left an eternal bad taste.

[name]Reese[/name] - Charming and underused, good choice:)

[name]Leighton[/name] - Perfectly nice.

So my favourites from your list are: [name]Cassidy[/name], [name]Bailey[/name], [name]Riley[/name], [name]Keeley[/name], [name]Marie[/name], [name]May[/name], [name]Lily[/name] and [name]Reese[/name]. I would avoid a combo with both names ending in an ‘ee’ sound though, the flow’s off.

Good [name]Luck[/name]

  • [name]Charlie[/name]

I love:
[name]Alexis[/name] [name]Lily[/name], [name]Alexis[/name] [name]Marie[/name], [name]Alexis[/name] [name]May[/name]
[name]Carly[/name] [name]Leighton[/name], [name]Carly[/name] [name]Isabella[/name], [name]Carly[/name] [name]Marie[/name]

However, my favorite combination would be [name]Leighton[/name] [name]Marie[/name] - delicious!!!

[name]Riley[/name] [name]Leighton[/name]!

For Girls:

[name]Carson[/name] – I’m sorry, but I dislike [name]Carson[/name]; especially when used on a girl. It seems quite boyish in my view.
Braxtyn – The ‘Y’ is terribly trendy, I’m afraid; besides, it does look almost masculine to me though it sounds feminine when I say it out loud. and I keep feelling as if I should put a ‘O’ instead of the ‘Y’. [name]Braxton[/name]… but then you’ve got the connection?
[name]Jadyn[/name] – [name]Jadyn[/name], too, is very trendy. I keep wanting to spell it [name]Jayden[/name], but obviously that’s not a spelling, either. I dislike it.
[name]Cassidy[/name] – [name]Cassidy[/name] isn’t so bad. I think I like names more like [name]Catherine[/name], which has nickname options such as [name]Cate[/name], [name]Cassie[/name], etc.
[name]Alexis[/name] – [name]Alexis[/name] isn’t too shabby, either. And see it once in a while on lists; I’m not sure on my feelings about it, though.
[name]Mckinley[/name] – Very trendy. [name]Mckinley[/name] just looks unattractive to me; and I keep wanting to spell it Mckinely, etc. Sorry.
[name]Makenzie[/name] – “Make” looks unappealing to me. Quite trendy as well.
[name]Makenna[/name] – Oddly, [name]Makenna[/name]'s never seemed as bad, with [name]Makenzie[/name] (which I can never recall how to spell because of all the differing ways) in second. But I still dislike it- too trendy and popular. And again, the “make”.
[name]Bailey[/name] – We used [name]Bailey[/name] for our beagle; but I don’t think I can imagine it on a human, let alone after we got her… it’s unisex, but I always think it’s so feminine, so it’s good you’re taking to the girl side.
[name]Kaylee[/name] – The ‘lee’ is very trendy, but not as trendy as ‘leigh’. [name]Kaylee[/name]'s not awful, but I don’t like it.
[name]Rylie[/name] – [name]Rylie[/name] is very trendy; the spelling, anyhow. It’s quite dated all at once, and I hope that makes sense. I can’t decide if it’s masculine or feminine, but I think I prefer it on a boy; and I don’t even like it.
[name]Ashley[/name] – I really like [name]Ashley[/name] for a boy; but when used upon a girl, it’s the same old thing. It seems quite dated and overused to me, sorry.
[name]Carly[/name] – I don’t like [name]Cary[/name]; but it’s not as bad as some other names.
[name]Keely[/name] – Very trendy, and it’s just not attractive in my opinion. But that’s just me; I just think it looks strange.
[name]Tennille[/name] – I dislike it. It seems like “ten” and “nile”.
[name]Tristan[/name] – I like [name]Tristan[/name], but it’s MUCH nicer on a boy.
[name]Breckin[/name] – All I see is “bracken”, sorry. [name]Don[/name]'t like it.
[name]Marie[/name] – [name]Marie[/name]'s pretty! I think it always will be. (:
[name]May[/name] – [name]May[/name]'s cute, but I think it’s a little too common for my tastes.
[name]Lily[/name] – [name]Lily[/name]'s really very common now, despite it’s prettiness.
[name]Danielle[/name] – I dislike [name]Danielle[/name].
[name]Isabella[/name] – Same as [name]Danielle[/name].
[name]Gabriella[/name] – [name]Gabrielle[/name]'s nicer, to me.
[name]Jade[/name] – I dislike [name]Jade[/name].
[name]Reese[/name] – Okay.
[name]Leighton[/name] – Okay.

These ones I think are too trendy, and will soon become dated (sorry!) :

I think that [name]Bailey[/name] and especially [name]Tristan[/name] are much too masculine to work on a girl.

The others :
[name]Ashley[/name] - a little dated.
[name]Tennille[/name] - it seems tacky; sorry! You may also like [name]Camille[/name].
[name]Alexis[/name] - very popular at the moment. You may like [name]Alexa[/name], or [name]Alexandra[/name] nn [name]Alex[/name].
[name]Cassidy[/name] - pretty, and the most durable of your options, in my opinion. You may also like [name]Cassia[/name], [name]Cassandra[/name] and [name]Cassiopeia[/name].
[name]Carly[/name] - this one is quite pretty, and like [name]Cassidy[/name], more durable than your other options. You may also like [name]Cara[/name], [name]Cora[/name], or [name]Clara[/name].

My vote is for [name]Cassidy[/name] or [name]Carly[/name].

Middle names :
[name]Breckin[/name] - this one isn”t my style; it feels very blunt and masculine to me.
[name]Marie[/name] - very popular as a middle name, but such a pretty classic. Variations include [name]Maria[/name], [name]Mary[/name] and [name]Miriam[/name]. Have you considered this as a first name?
[name]May[/name] - well-used in the middle position, but pretty and always flows well.
[name]Lily[/name] - gorgeous. Have you considered this as a first name?
[name]Danielle[/name] - a little dated, in my opinion.
[name]Isabella[/name] - popular, but very pretty.
[name]Gabriella[/name] - I”m not so fond of the sound of this one, and it is very popular. Have you considered [name]Rafaella[/name], another feminised archangel”s name?
[name]Jade[/name] - this one feels a little dated to me. Have you considered other precious stone names like [name]Emerald[/name], [name]Pearl[/name] or [name]Opal[/name]?
[name]Reese[/name] - not as pretty as some of your other options, in my opinion.
[name]Leighton[/name] - much too trendy for my taste.

My vote is for [name]Marie[/name], [name]May[/name], [name]Lily[/name] or [name]Isabella[/name].

Some nice combinations :
[name]Carly[/name] [name]Isabella[/name]
[name]Cassidy[/name] [name]Mae[/name] (I prefer this spelling so that there is not a double Y ending)
[name]Cassia[/name] [name]Lily[/name]
[name]Cassidy[/name] [name]Marie[/name]
[name]Lily[/name] [name]Cassidy[/name]
[name]Lily[/name] [name]Mae[/name].

The only name I really like on your list is [name]Cassidy[/name], which I just think is so pretty, and would work as [name]Cassidy[/name] [name]Danielle[/name], [name]Cassidy[/name] [name]Marie[/name], [name]Cassidy[/name] [name]May[/name], or any number of middle names, depending on what style you want to give it. I think my personal favorite is [name]Cassidy[/name] [name]Danielle[/name], it just seems so sophisticated but also cute.
