Old Love's Name

I’m currently trying to weave a tale of [name]Monty[/name] life, to explain why he is such a closed off person now. He is telling a few teens that have gotten themselves close enough to him, for him to explain his past. His tale will be about a woman who he fell in love with but she died in a very tragic way, and he blames himself.

I currently need a name for the woman (i’m leaning toward [name]Isabella[/name]) and they each would need a surname. Possible help??

Is [name]Monty[/name] the first name of the main male character? And is [name]Monty[/name] short for a longer first name?

And [name]Isabella[/name] is a nice name. But as a reader and a writer, I would avoid popular names. That’s just me, though.
On another note! I love tragic stories.

Yes [name]Monty[/name] is the male’s name, I don’t think I’ll be using it as a shorter version, but as his real name.

I like using this list for last names: http://names.mongabay.com/most_common_surnames.htm

A few suggestions
[name]Monty[/name] [name]Harris[/name] or [name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Monty[/name] [name]Winslow[/name]
[name]Monty[/name] [name]Martin[/name] or [name]Monty[/name] [name]McCoy[/name] (if it’s that kind of story)
[name]Monty[/name] Schultz
[name]Monty[/name] [name]Krane[/name]
[name]Monty[/name] Snyder
[name]Monty[/name] [name]Green/name - [name]Montgomery[/name] [name]Green[/name] is nice, too
[name]Monty[/name] [name]Cotton[/name]
[name]Monty[/name] [name]Nieves[/name]
[name]Monty[/name] Rasmussen

[name]Isabella[/name] is all right; it just seems like a popular, “stereotypically beautiful person” kind of a name. I’d suggest something short: [name]Isabella[/name] [name]Burke/name, [name]Isabella[/name] Sharpe, [name]Isabella[/name] [name]Fulton[/name], or [name]Isabella[/name] [name]Spence[/name]. Alternatively, you might like (or mix and match) one of these? I tried to aim for a similar style:
