My cousin named her boy [name_u]Onyx[/name_u], but I wouldn’t and think it’s better as a middle name. I don’t think it’s a name that will age well and it just makes me think of Pokemon. I think [name_m]Winston[/name_m] [name_u]Onyx[/name_u] sounds the best. I also like [name_m]Augustus[/name_m]. I think [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] is another name that just won’t age well and it has that connection to [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m], which makes it more prone to teasing.

I think it’s great for the first place or middle! From your poll I really love [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] [name_u]Onyx[/name_u] but [name_m]Winston[/name_m] [name_u]Onyx[/name_u] is nice too!!

[name_u]Onyx[/name_u] is fine as a middle name, but I’m not loving it with the first name options you’ve chosen. [name_m]Winston[/name_m] [name_u]Onyx[/name_u] is probably my favorite.

[name_m]Winston[/name_m] and [name_m]Keith[/name_m] [name_u]Onyx[/name_u] are the ones I like most of your list… [name_u]Onyx[/name_u] [name_m]Sven[/name_m] would be my vote though if given the option :slight_smile:

There was a boy who went to school with my brother who named his son [name_u]Onyx[/name_u] (After the Pokemon though… lol).

I’m a great believer in having a middle name as an “(almost) anything goes” spot, so [name_u]Onyx[/name_u] is definitely doable. I like [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] [name_u]Onyx[/name_u] most from your list, but I personally would go with a more common first name to balance out its rarity - something like [name_m]Caspar[/name_m] [name_u]Onyx[/name_u] or [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_u]Onyx[/name_u] possibly. [name_f]Nyx[/name_f] is another ‘x’ name with mythological ties.
