I’m expecting a boy in [name_u]March[/name_u] 2022. Father has a friend named [name_u]Briar[/name_u] and I suggested the name. He loved it as do I. I see commonly it’s used for a girl but what’s the opinion on it used for a boy? His name will be [name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_u]Reid[/name_u].
I think it’s cute for a boy. [name_u]An[/name_u] updated version of [name_m]Brian[/name_m].
[name_u]Love[/name_u] it.
I think it works. Seems completely unisex like [name_u]Riley[/name_u] or [name_u]Corey[/name_u]. [name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_u]Reid[/name_u] seems like a good combo. Ifs anything it might sound a little on a nature vibe but spelling wise it works.
I prefer [name_u]Briar[/name_u] for a boy. It feels like a softer version of [name_m]Brian[/name_m], but still it feels very masculine to
I think it definitely works! Agreed with the other posters that it sounds like a softer version of [name_m]Brian[/name_m] (a name I like but am unable to use). The name might lean slightly feminine, but I certainly don’t think that’s a dealbreaker and ultimately I do still see the name as unisex. I say go for it!
I like it a lot. [name_u]Briar[/name_u] is spunky and rugged, a cool choice for either sex.
As others have said, [name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_u]Reid[/name_u] sounds very botanical (briar + reed) but the spelling makes a difference here I think. The R sounds maybe run into each other just slightly but it’s a very handsome combo!
i adore it !! 100% go for it !!
The only [name_u]Briar[/name_u] I’ve ever met is male and it always suited him well. [name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_u]Reid[/name_u] is sweet! I agree that the “r” sounds slightly run together, but not enough for me to veto it!
Absolutely love [name_u]Briar[/name_u] for a boy! [name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_u]Reid[/name_u] is so handsome
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] is really sharp and cool for a boy!!
I love it! The only use of [name_u]Briar[/name_u] I know irl is as the middle for a little boy I know
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Briar[/name_u] or [name_u]Brier[/name_u] for a boy
I have personally only ever seen this name used for boys, so I think it definitely would work. Very lovely name.
Absolutely love [name_u]Briar[/name_u] for a boy such a fresh outdoorsy name with a fun upbeat sound. [name_u]Briar[/name_u] is so handsome. I have the name [name_u]Elijah[/name_u] [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] [name_u]Briar[/name_u] on my list and think it’s so dreamy
Personally I would team [name_u]Briar[/name_u] with a very distinctive masculine middle name [name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_u]Reed[/name_u] is lovely but I would go with something like [name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_u]William[/name_u], [name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_m]Solomon[/name_m], [name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] or [name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m].
Good luck
I love [name_u]Briar[/name_u] ! [name_f]My[/name_f] friend just used it for their son , and I know 3 little girls in the past 3 years.
I think I slightly prefer [name_m]Bryer[/name_m] spelling for a boy
This is so adorable!!! I love it !!!
I would flip them, I love both names for a boy but would never put the rs together. [name_u]Reid[/name_u] [name_u]Briar[/name_u] is so cool too.
Agree fully with @Victory55
I love [name_u]Briar[/name_u] for a boy! [name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_u]Reid[/name_u] is cute!
