I knew a [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] years and years ago and I thought it was the most wild, beautiful name I had ever heard. I kind of forgot about it and it has now popped up a couple of times. What are your thoughts?
I think [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] is delightful! I also knew one years ago, she was a penpal of mine from the UK (Manchester I believe? but I can’t quite remember). It’s fresh, unique and has the same strong feel as something like [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] or [name_f]Georgia[/name_f].
I actually know two Saskias. It’s an unusual, strong, beautiful name. It reminds me of other names I love like [name_f]Freya[/name_f] and [name_f]Astrid[/name_f].

It’s been my favourite name since I was about 15, but I’ve loved it all my life. I think it sounds so artsy and wild and reminds me of both tropical beaches and old mahogany libraries. It’s a sweet spot name for me - everyone’s heard it but you don’t meet too many. Needless to go on - I love it and think it’s wonderful!

I think it’s fantastic. I’ve known a couple but only recently fully appreciated it.
It sounds so ‘’‘exotic’‘’ and Latinate but it’s actually very Germanic which I think gives it a real … coziness? To me anyway. Very akin to [name_f]Freya[/name_f] and [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] like has been pointed out, but also fits in with [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Estella[/name_f], etc. I think.
I love the way [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] looks! I’ve never actually met anyone with the name, but it’s one I’ve been thinking about a lot! Is it most often pronounced SASS-kee-uh or SAW-skee-uh?
