What are your thoughts and opinions on [name_m]Titus[/name_m]?
[name_m]Titus[/name_m] is cool and strong. I find it a little āheavyā in an ancient [name_m]Roman[/name_m] type of way, but the fact itās only two syllables makes it more approachable for a modern boy. I do worry a little about the first three letters having some teasing possibility, though.
Tetanus
It does have a strong, bold feel and a cool, sharp sound! However, as @EagleEyes says, if itās a name for a kid, those first three letters might not be fun in high school.
I remember when a friend of mine from high school named one of their sons [name_m]Titus[/name_m] I was completely shocked ! I was not expecting it! But when they posted the meaning behind the name and why it was important for them I really softened to the name
Itās bold and adventurous! Itās quite a lot of name, quite overtly masculine. I think of [name_m]Titus[/name_m] Andronicus, very sad and bloody, but also of the explorer [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] āTitusā Oates.
I think it is a lot of name for anyone to wear, and the first three letters could be troublesome for them during school years.
I prefer [name_m]Titan[/name_m]. The āusā sound just seems unappealing to me for some reason, Iām not sure why.
I like it. Iām reading a book right now that mentions typhus a lot, though. So, as long as you avoid that association, I think itās good. (I donāt consider ātyphusā a common word. Therefore I wouldnāt worry too much about it.)
As others have said, I dislike it because of the first three letters.
I think the [name_m]Roman[/name_m] emperor is too well known for the name to be associated with other similar sounding words but that might depend on your environment.
I like the sound, itās a very grandiose name but I like it.
Iāve seen little boys named [name_m]Magnus[/name_m], [name_m]Maximus[/name_m], [name_m]Cesar[/name_m], [name_m]Thor[/name_m] and the like, [name_m]Titan[/name_m] has been mentioned too, so I donāt think it would be shocking.
Itās a big name! Striking and strapping⦠but hard for me to picture on a baby, child, or teen. I picture a grown and burly man.
Holy mackerel, lol! Iāve never noticed this. Is it silly this makes me like the name even more? Thatās a hilarious catch!
I think itās an awesome name (and itās on my list too!): strong, Biblical, not too common Also, Tito is a cute nickname and you can choose a softer or more classic middle name to balance it.
Nice but the beginning is huge for teasing
Iām not a big fan, it sounds powerful and ancient and doesnāt really fit a regular modern guy. I also donāt really like how it sounds (Iām usually not big on -us ending names in general, with some exceptions).
