I think the hubs and I have finally decided on a first name for our fourth girl - [name]Milena[/name]. We love the nn possibilities, [name]Mila[/name], [name]Lena[/name] or even [name]Millie[/name]. However, now I am starting to rethink our middle name we originally chose. Our three older girls all have one of our grandmothers’ names for their middle - [name]Elise[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name], [name]Sadie[/name] [name]Marcella[/name] and [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Mary[/name], which leaves the fourth grandmother, [name]Rose[/name]. It’s not that I don’t like [name]Rose[/name], but it’s a filler name. I also have a filler name for my middle name, [name]Marie[/name]. I thought about putting the two middle names together and using [name]Rosemarie[/name]… My other problem is that a lot of my husband’s relatives have used [name]Rose[/name] over and over, and my even neice’s middle name is [name]Rosemarie[/name]. Now I am thinking about the possibility of [name]Charlotte[/name] for a middle name. We have decided this will be our last baby and my husband has always wanted to name a son after his dad. Well, his dad’s middle name is [name]Charles[/name], so [name]Charlotte[/name] is about as close as we can get… I also love the name [name]Charlotte[/name] and would use it as a first name if it wasn’t so darn popular. I just want opinions - do we stay with the little tradition we started with our first three girls or do we do something different???
[name]Milena[/name] [name]Rosalind[/name]
[name]Milena[/name] [name]Rosamund[/name]
[name]Milena[/name] [name]Roselle[/name]
[name]Milena[/name] [name]Rosanne[/name]
[name]Milena[/name] [name]Penrose[/name]
[name]Milena[/name] [name]Bellerose[/name]
[name]Milena[/name] [name]Primrose[/name] (my favorite!)
[name]Milena[/name] [name]Roisin[/name] (prn. [name]RO[/name]-sheen)
[name]Milena[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name]
[name]Milena[/name] [name]Rosabelle[/name]
And many other [name]Rose[/name] variants could honor your family while being original.
Hmm, not really sure I like the variations on “[name]Rose[/name].” If we would do a variation, I would put it with [name]Marie[/name] to make [name]Rosemarie[/name]…
I didn’t read your whole post but I did see it was concerning mn’s. I love [name]Milena[/name] [name]Kate[/name].
What about other rose names? rosa, rosamond, rosalyn, rosalie
I really like [name]Milena[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]! Honoring a grandfather is just as special.
I love [name]Milena[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name], but I think it would be awkward to honor 3 grandmothers and leave out the fourth when you could easily include her. [name]Milena[/name] [name]Rosemarie[/name] is a nice option, or [name]Milena[/name] [name]Roselle[/name]. Yes, [name]Rose[/name] is a filler, but it’s also a very nice name that has a special meaning to your family.
I think if other family members have already honored [name]Rose[/name], then there is no harm in leaving her out. [name]Milena[/name] will not feel left out because she also has a family name…and it’s a special one because it’s one you had been saving for a son! I think [name]Milena[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] is great.
[name]LOVE[/name] [name]Milena[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name], and [name]Milena[/name] [name]Primrose[/name]!

I dont think you should worry about popularity… just name her what you love! I honestly dont think kids mind having a popular name. If you like [name]Charlotte[/name], why not name her [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Rose[/name] and call her [name]Charlie[/name] for a nickname? That would be sweet for your husband since he has all girls! If not, [name]Milena[/name] [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Milena[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] are both VERY pretty!
Thanks everyone! I just wanted an unbiased opinion, although I think I am going to leave the final decision up to my husband since both middle names are from his side of the family.
