Opinions on Aria

We are discussing girls names, and both like [name]Aria[/name].

Middle name would be [name]Margaret[/name], [name]Leslie[/name] or [name]Nancy[/name].

What do you think of it as a sister to [name]Elliot[/name] and which middle name works best? What do you think of [name]Aria[/name] in general?

I really like the name [name]Aria[/name]! It seems more fresh than ‘[name]Ariana[/name]’ right now as well. Very pretty.
My first name is [name]Leslie[/name], and I almost never see it mentioned, so I was excited to see that as a possibility for a mn choice, I must admit! Also, somewhat ironically, my mother’s first name is [name]Margaret[/name].
Would you be pronouncing this ‘[name]Ah[/name]-[name]Ree[/name]-[name]Ah[/name]’?
My vote is for [name]Aria[/name] [name]Leslie[/name]!
Best,
L.

Thanks for your reply! Yes, we’d be pronouncing it Ahh-ree-uh.

All the middle names are family names. [name]Leslie[/name] is DH’s mother’s middle name, [name]Margaret[/name] is my middle and [name]Nancy[/name] is his grandmother.

I know a couple of girls called [name]Aria[/name]. I think it’s a really pretty name, and it goes nicely with [name]Elliott[/name]. I quite like the sound of [name]Aria[/name] [name]Nancy[/name].

[name]Aria[/name] is lovely. Of the middle name choices I like [name]Nancy[/name] the best.

I’ve always loved the name [name]Aria[/name] ever since I heard it on pretty little liars the tv show! [name]Just[/name] wish I could get my Dh on board with it. It is a very musical name and I’m musical and so is my family so if you are that would just be an added bonus with the name. The ONLY thing that concerns me with the name [name]Aria[/name] is the nn [name]Ari[/name] which I don’t like. Other than that, I think it is lovely and would even consider it myself.

[name]Aria[/name] is beautiful & on my list

I would go with [name]Aria[/name] [name]Margaret[/name]

I love the name [name]Aria[/name]! It’s on my list too! (I’m secretly hoping for twin girls so that I can use [name]Aria[/name] with the girl name we have picked!)

I think [name]Aria[/name] sounds pretty with all the middle names mentioned. I would go with the one that has the most meaning to you. [name]Aria[/name] [name]Nancy[/name] is nice though!

I think it’s pretty, however forgettable. It just sounds and looks so much like other names - [name]Ariana[/name], [name]Arielle[/name], [name]Maria[/name]… I believe it’s just a variation that will shoot up on the charts and then plummet quickly. But if you love it, go for it.

I love [name]Aria[/name], it’s very elegant. My choice from your list would be [name]Aria[/name] [name]Margaret[/name], but how about [name]Aria[/name] [name]Marguerite[/name]? I think this would flow much better.

Sorry but I’m not a fan of trendy [name]Aria[/name] (it’s an operatic term not a girls name in my opinion). It sounds pretty but lacks substance for me. I think the name will rise quickly and then fade away. I’ve heard so many people are choosing it for their daughters that it’s starting to sound dated. But if you love it, choose it!

I [name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Aria[/name]!!! I was so excited when I saw your post, and so many favorable responses, because [name]Aria[/name] is one of our top choices if we have a girl.
Of the middle names you listed, my favorite is [name]Aria[/name] [name]Nancy[/name]. But I think all of your middle name options sound nice - so as another poster suggested, I’d go with the one that has the most meaning to you and your husband.

I love it! [name]Aria[/name] [name]Leslie[/name] is my favorite of your choices. I personally don’t love [name]Aria[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] because it sounds like too much “ar” for me.

[name]Just[/name] FYI- there’s a new casino in Las [name]Vegas[/name] called [name]Aria[/name]. It’s really nice.

My name is [name]Aria[/name], and coincidentally, I live in Las [name]Vegas[/name] where they just opened a hotel/casino named [name]Aria[/name]. I [name]LOVE[/name] my name. It’s gorgeous, ages well, and is easy to pronounce. I will have to admit, I do get wrong pronunciations (Area, ugh-ree-ugh) and I do have to spell it sometimes but it is completely worth it. Funny thing is I am a choral student and the name does have an operatic meaning, but regardless, I think it is a wonderful name. Yes, I am biased but I promise you that it is a great name!

I love [name]Aria[/name]! I loved it before I became pregnant, and my SO’s daughters are [name]Harmony[/name] and [name]Melody[/name], so it kind of went along, but not in a very obvious way. I think it’s elegant and sophisticated, but still a little bit spunky.

I choose [name]Aria[/name] [name]Margaret[/name], because I simply like [name]Margaret[/name] the best and it kind of grounds [name]Aria[/name], which can seem a bit flighty, [name]IMO[/name].

I have chosen the very similar [name]Arietta[/name] as a middle name for my DD due any day so I like it a lot
