Not as a nickname. Not short for [name_m]Emmanuel[/name_m]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] [name_m]Manny[/name_m].
Too cutesy
I think of the mammoth from [name_u]Ice[/name_u] Age! Iām not wild about it as a stand-alone, I canāt get past āmanā which makes it seem a bit bland.
Iām kind of in two minds, because there is a bit of me that likes it - it sounds kind of cool, fun, gentle, clunky-cool.
On the other, I also very much agree with this:
I knew a little [name_f]English[/name_f] girl called [name_m]Manny[/name_m]. Her parents were musicians (and her siblings included the name Bowie) so it worked!
Iām not really a fan. Makes me think of mannequin, mani-pedi, and also⦠a man. I suppose Iād prefer it as a nickname. It feels lacking as a full name, to me personally. I like the sounds!
Itās not my cup of tea, to be honest, I just think of 1) ice age, and 2) the word āmannish/manlyā
I really like Manny! He is so cute and I can definitely see him aging well.
Woowww I adore those names!! Sisters Manny & Bowie!
It feels a little incomplete to me, but Iām not a fan of nickname names in general.
I will say as far as nickname names go, I do think [name_m]Manny[/name_m] could stand fairly well on his own.
(I do have to admit I will always think of the character from Modern Family first, though.)
Me too, as well as Andy from the same show calling himself a manny (= male nanny).
I think it works. Itās a pretty established name in my opinion ā most Iāve known are short for [name_m]Manuel[/name_m] but I think it fits any age and works on its own.
makes me think of [name_m]Handy[/name_m] [name_m]Manny[/name_m]
Iām not a fan, I just really donāt like the sound and vibe
Sounds a bit too much like a diminutive nickname meaning ālittle guy/manā, e.g. āWhat a cute little manny!ā
