I was just wondering in general what would you think if you met a little girl called [name]Lilac[/name]? Would you think it was a nice name? A bit too out there?? Would you think it strange? etc.

For me, [name]Lilac[/name] is just a little too out there.
It has a harsh sound too with the “ack” ending, but that’s just my opinion.
I much prefer [name]Lila[/name] or [name]Lily[/name]. [name]Lavender[/name] is interesting and has a softer sound, but I wouldn’t use it personally since I tend to be conservative when it actually comes time to name.
What about [name]Lilac[/name] as a middle name?
I like [name]Lilac[/name] as a middle name. [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Lilac[/name] or [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Lilac[/name]. I think [name]Lilac[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] sounds nice too. Definitely needs something soft to go with it.
I like it but I have moved to an area of the US where people say lye-LACK instead of LYE-lick which is how I always heard it growing up. I really, really don’t like the lye-LACK pronunciation.
I think it’s a very pretty name, and I’d love to see it on a little girl. I actually have a friend, [name]Lila[/name], whom I call [name]Lilac[/name] as a nickname, and I think it’s very sweet and perky.
It’s too out there for me to use, but it’s not too out there for me to hear on someone else, if that makes any sense.
[name]Lila[/name] ([name]Lilah[/name], [name]Lyla[/name]) is Arabic for [name]Lilac[/name]. I think [name]Lila[/name] is a much prettier version of [name]Lilac[/name].
I find it a beautiful, albeit unusual, name with a nice connotation. I do think that people might confuse it with [name]Lila[/name], since it is only one letter different, and/or that could become a nick name.
