We’re expecting our second daughter and thought we settled on [name_f]Merida[/name_f] [name_f]Bridget[/name_f], but I’m not feeling [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] 100%.
Does [name_f]Merida[/name_f] [name_f]Cosette[/name_f] work well?
Our older daughter is named [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f].

I prefer [name_f]Merida[/name_f] [name_f]Bridget[/name_f]. [name_f]Merida[/name_f] is already strongly associated with the movie Brave, so I don’t really like the idea of pairing it with [name_f]Cosette[/name_f], which also has a very strong association ([name_u]Les[/name_u] Miserables), although [name_f]Merida[/name_f] [name_f]Cosette[/name_f] does sound nice. Maybe [name_f]Merida[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f] instead?
[name_f]Merida[/name_f] [name_f]Cosette[/name_f] goes well together.
If we - were ‘judging ’ a hypothetical’ combo I might suggest [name_f]Cosette[/name_f] is a different style to [name_f]Merida[/name_f] - A PP mentions their respective origins. They also have different
origins.

Her sister’s glorious name - shows your good taste [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f] and [name_f]Merida[/name_f] are in my top list, I think they are beautiful. Its a very personal choice for you so if you prefer [name_f]Cosette[/name_f] I would support you 100 %. Its a really pretty name and I think this is what middle names are about. What is meaningful and beautiful that you want to give your daughter.
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f], whichever spelling is a name I would love to used myself, and end up putting it aside because its a feels a little heavy despite all the folklore and cultural richness I appreciate.
The main thing is [name_f]Merida[/name_f] is a magnificent choice for a first and the question is do you want the perhaps safer [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] to make a better rating ‘Combo’ or want to pass on something original and pretty which may give your daughter the delight of a pretty and more original middle. [name_f]Merida[/name_f] [name_f]Cosette[/name_f] is lovely, I prefer it to [name_f]Merida[/name_f] [name_f]Bridget[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Cosette[/name_f] complements [name_f]Merida[/name_f] in a way that [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] doesn’t, and I love how literally none of the sounds match but they feel like they should!
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f] and [name_f]Merida[/name_f] are both absolutely stunning names. I’m so pleased you’re hopefully going to use [name_f]Merida[/name_f] because I feel a lot of people get put off by the Disney connection (sadly myself included . . . but I’m trying to work past it!).
